The Features played a great, somewhat raw set despite at least one member recovering from a touch of illness. While the applause between songs was pretty enthusiastic, the crowd didn't seem extremely into it during the actual songs. I could tell they were waiting for the Kings. They clearly liked it, though, and I would be surprised if The Features didn't win over a new fan or two tonight (even in their hometown).
I stuck around for the first 2 songs of Kings of Leon. I thought it was pretty good. The energy on stage was high, although there wasn't a great deal of movement. The crowd seemed to be eating it up, but once again, there didn't seem to be a ton of dancing, so maybe it just wasn't a dancin' kind of crowd.
I'm glad I went despite the high price tag and my own illness.
