I know I rarely post here, call me a lurker. However I do read often and only post when I feel I have something to say. The band I'm in was fortunate enough to be able to play with the Features in Cincinnati at a place called the 20th Century Theater. The show was sponsored by everyone's favorite company, Clear Channel. Little did we know that said company had cancelled the show two days prior without letting either band know. We drove from Nashville and I believe they came from Indianapolis. Everyone who called this venue was informed there would be no show. Then on the day of the show, they decided to go ahead and put it on. If this isn't bad enough for crowd support, my band was instructed by a Clear Channel rep to go on stage at eight thirty on a two band bill. The Features and ourselves tried to get this changed, but our pleas fell upon not deaf, but uncaring ears. So to make a long story short, the Features were done playing (they were excellent, might I add) at a little after ten, just when some people started to arrive at $8 a head, against all odds. Not only did Clear Channel screw both of our bands, but they didn't even consider that people don't come to a two band bill before ten, especially up there (that's my original home). Anyway, I felt everyone should know this. They did play great and the few who witnessed were all in complete agreement. My memory is not great enough to recall a set list, but I did get to hear some stuff that they still were working on during sound check and it was incredible!
