I decided to drive up to Louisville after work last night and was glad i did! It's always neat to see them in a new city/new venue--and the people at the club seemed really receptive to the band. Barretones is a fairly small club (almost the antithesis of the Attic in Chattanooga--down in a basement and pretty intimate) and the guys had a hard time figuring out how to make everything fit onto the stage. Being aware of the acoustics of the place, the band kinda "held back" from their usual full-on rock selves, but it was still a powerful and fun (but mellow--moonlight, growing old, stork) set.

yeah, i drove all of 5 minutes to see them at barretones. for one thing, they should have never played there. that was the first time i have ever gone there, i think they have blues bands, cover bands and shit like that there on friday and sat. i think they should have gone to the rudyard kipling since thats where indie kids hang out and see shows, not barretones. it was nice to see them, but thats not the crowd they should try to get here in louisville. trust me.
