TOPIC: 1 October 2004 - DC Show at the Black Cat

Post 1 of 9
Just returned home from seeing The Features in Washington, DC at the Black Cat. I was so excited because I just moved back here from Murfreesboro and The Features were the thing I missed the most. I hadn't been to the Black Cat in years; it's been remodeled and is now MUCH bigger than the last time I was there. The guys put on an amazing show- the place was packed. Most of the people around me knew some of the songs and the guys behind me were commenting that The Features should have been the headliners instead. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact set list, so I'm not going to try to post it, but of course the closer was "Thursday". After every song, people cheered like crazy and every time Matt Pelham reminded the audience that their band was "The Features," he was met with even more applause. (Surprisingly enough, even moreso when he mentioned that the band was from Murfreesboro, Tennessee!) The guys got more acclamation for announcing their own name than for reminding the fans that the Kings of Leon were coming up next - a rare reaction for an opening band.

I saw them in DC as well and was extremely excited. I unfortunately got there kinda late and was only able to hear Blow it out Mosis Tosis and Thursday. But it was amazing!!!! I as well think that The Features should have been the headliner cause what I saw was amazing and I was really excited to see the crowd digging it too.
The set list was
Circus
Ex.A
Walk You Home
Million Ways to Sing the Blues
Arcadia
Me and the Skirts
Kari-Ann
Meant to Be
Leave it All Behind
Demons
Blow It Out
Mosis Tosis
Thursday
Sorry if any of this is wrong this is what I could make out from the really tiny set list I took from the stage.
