I'm on "Exorcising Demons" right now and it is amazing. This was such a great show...I just..speechless...I really love this band so much and if I go into any further detail, it'll be way too pathetic and scary. The happiest I've been in such a long time and all my worries and cares have been thrown out the window. Thanks, Features, it's been worth the wait.

The beginning of Kari Ann makes my brain start singing Stand by R.E.M.

The Features sounded and played great tonight. I especially liked what Parrish and Roger were doing. Plus, Parrish cast a magnificent shadow on the wall to the left of the stage.

I forgot to buy a cd and I'm mad.

Yeah, I don't know what was more surreal-- The Features actually putting a full-length out, or the Kings of Leon being in my house. I fully enjoyed the irony, though, of meeting them while I was wearing my "YOU are killing music" T-Shirt. I'd like to think if I was more sober I would have started some shit, but I'm a wuss so.......................... (hi Damon)
I TOTALLY AGREE!

The show was fantastic. It made me very happy. I love the album, and I'm sure I'll love it more and more every time I listen to it. It was weird, but nice, seeing The Features with a light show. I can't wait until tonight and Thursday night.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

The sound for De Novo Dahl was terrible. I had a hard time enjoying it with all the crackles and pops.

Feable Weiner put on a tight show as always.

The Features were simply amazing. It's been really fun watching these guys evolve from a timid pop band into a rock force. Matt's presence grows with every show.

The crowd response was staggering.

I have a newfound appreciation for Kari-Anne.

The "pack it up" song does little for me, but "are you alone" has true moments of Features greatness.

Good seeing everyone last night, especially Lauren... yadayadayada...

Great show, great date, great prom/reunion, great afterparty, GREAT CD...what more can I say. I really liked Pack It Up, more than I like Mosis Ptosis. Favorite song on the CD so far: Me & the Skirts. Favorite prom dress: Rachel. I'm going to try to post the prom pictures I took, we'll see if it works. Thanks to Carl & Rob & Keith for hosting us all! We missed you there, Sina, but I'm glad I found you at the show. I heard Kings of Leon stole the rest of my Newcastles...

LOVES:
-the album
-seeing people all dressed up
-dancing to "Mosis Tosis" is what electricity must feel like
-the bursts of air-conditioning
-the room I had to move
-The Features on a big stage...with smoke...and lights...like they're rock stars or something. Crazy.

NOT LOVES:
-the strobe lights
-the sound during DND (and I am NOT a musician, or technically-minded person, and even I could tell it sucked)
-Rocketown freaked me out when I first walked in, it was huge and it took me forever to find out where the stage was. Is it by the pool table? Near the snack bar?
That's so NA.

Mosis Ptosis is the best song in the word (aside from Love is Golden of course). Whoever said it was like electricity is dead on. Pack it Up is quite good though, and quickly becoming one of my favorites.

The show was incredible, and I'm sure everyone felt that way. Rocket Town as a venue was okay. Apologies in advance to all the smokers, but it was nice to enjoy a show without feeling nasty afterwards. Any numbers on the attendance? I was in the front and it looked nearly packed.

FW was ok, I really really enjoyed 2 or 3 of their songs, but this was my first time to hear DND and I loved them!

Please tell me someone recorded this.

i think that "pack it up" might be called "rory rory" because thats what rollum yelled before he counted off, and during the chorus, he was singing "rory-rory" as back-up. i really liked it.
i thought the show was great, but i had a really hard time getting into it. i was in the very front row and definitely had too much space around me to feel comfortable dancing, plus, no one around me was dancing. it was too cold in there and so i hardly broke a sweat and the lack of smoke was very confusing for my brain. thought the set was great, but smee and i missed "situation gone bad."
thanks to rob for having us over after the show- didnt get to say goodbye [where did you go? were you showing someone the privates again?]

Blightman did.

I had fun. The balloons made me feel like I was at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. I was hoping for Johnny B Goode.

It was good seeing DND. Why don't they play some more?

I left for FW and came back afterward, only forfeiting a closer spot to the stage (by about 10 feet).

With Rocket Town, it isn't the place where I would want to hang out ever, but that's mainly because it's my job to babysit 13 and 14-year-olds, so why would I want to go there after hours? But really, is there any thing wrong with a place just because they don't allow smoking or drinking? Yes, they may not have our choice of music most of the time, but I don't think it's any less of a great venue because it's big or doesn't have a bar. Seriously, without 328 (which really wasn't that great of a place when you think of it--their cheap beers were the same as only serving coffee since I will drink neither), Nashville has needed a club one size larger than Exit/In to attract bands here. I'd rather see Wilco or P. Spree there than at Uptown Mix where I sweat and get rained on and have to use a porta-potty (and I won't drink there either).

The Features set was great. They seemed like they had forgotten how to play Harder to Ignore and Someway, Somehow. Oh well, they'll remember soon I'm sure.

it was a weird night all around--it was tangible. i felt it. i wouldn't hesitate to say the circumstances weren't promising. de novo dahl's performance was kind of lackluster, atleast for them; there were sound problems and, somewhat more vexingly, an overabundance of genre-hopping. then feable weiner played. however, it turned out to be a great Features show, despite the absence of God Save Rock n' Roll from the setlist...matt's guitar playing has noticably improved, and when the effort is there, he is capable of being rather engaging onstage...the prospect of seeing the features come full circle in such an alien venue wasn't at the top of my list, but my cynicism was obliterated by the sound of drums and a melody.

also, a word about the record: i am infamously hard to please, but i am very happy with Exhibit A. infinitely so. i've always said that the recordings don't do justice to them--that they sound better live...well, this may be the reversal of that trend...it sounds amazing. i especially dig the brash guitars...and though i questioned the inclusion of Exorcising Demons (over the likes of GSR&R and 33 1/3) it has never sounded better than it does here...well done, boys. i'm pleased.

I hate that I missed the show, but I woke up to a nice compressed recording on my cellphone voicemail of Some Way Some How.

I bought the cd this morning, first thing in san jose... they had to go find one of the 20 copies from the back of the store. I have to say, the cd is awesome. I've been waiting forever to hear great recordings of Idea of Growing Old and Me and the Skirts. Every song sounds wonderful. I'm having a bit of a time forgetting maheffeys chorused / overlapped vocals on Exorcising Demons, but the sound quality is awesome on this cd. It's made me nostalgic all day long. Thank you. Best of Luck and hope to see you soon.

Show was awesome, at least The Features and De Novo Dahl, although I thought the sound for the entire show was subpar. Rocketown needs to get on some new sound guys or new equipment one. Didn't watch Feable Weiner, sorry it's just something about bands that can't seem to outgrow high school that annoys me. I am sure they are all nice guys or whatever, but the band name alone is enough to turn me off (and yes I have heard them, so no one accuse me of passing judgement without some reason) Didn't see Kings of Leon or I would have punched them all in the face, saw all the people I normally see at shows. And lastly, the cd is definitely a fine piece of work, album of the summer (albeit the late summer) methinks.

Their sound as a whole has improved drastically over the last year and a half. And yes Matt can put on a great show when he really gets into it with the jumping around and all. I thought Mosis Ptosis was a perfect example of this.

If the song has a title, then why won't the band introduce it as such. I'm getting tired of saying "I really like the last new song, and the middle new song was good, but not nearly as good as that song they debuted at _____ back in _____." Even if they're just working titles, give us something. I dunno, this isn't a major gripe, just something to distract me from homework.

first off, it was great getting to meet a few of you guys, even if i already halfway knew you from various other places (such as parties with drunken comedians). kelly, that was one sweet jacket. and.. uh, rachel, i think i was standing right in front of you. sorry i didn't introduce myself.

what a great setlist... i'd have liked to hear 33 1/3, but kari-anne made up for it. the light show was spectacular... i was kicking myself mighty hard for forgetting my camera. the band seemed in great spirits, and rollum solidified his place as My Favorite Drummer to Watch Ever.

kinda wished i had dressed up, though i guess a sigur ros tshirt and a jean jacket was the best i could do. oh well.

I got a voicemail last night with the Features playing "Harder to Ignore," so I kinda sorta for a minute felt the excitement, but I can only imagine how fun it would've been to actually be there. People have just been telling me the greatest things about this show - how big the crowd was, how awesome the Features were, how nice everyone looked in their formalwear, and...that someone is marrying a Feature! So much exciting news!

Random thoughts:

->I'm sorry to hear that apparently no one liked Feable Wiener. Oh well - it's your loss.

->Thanks, TF, for the setlists!

->Roadie was...a roadie!

->Yeah, I heard about the Kings of Leon being at the show, and at New Idaho-errrrrr-Carl's house. And let me just say that I'm looking forward to calling bullshit on anybody who is suddenly a fan, or is suddenly "down" with KoL now that they've hung out with them. This is your advance warning.

Whoa. I'm assuming that was in reponse to my criticism of ellipses. Otherwise I'm confused. In any case, my hatred for those little dots is due to the fact that they get used so often to indicate "i know a secret, for the handful of you who don't already know about it through either direct contact with the band or the inevitable trickle down of such information!" .......................... (hi Damon)
I'm assuming that was in reponse to my criticism of ellipses.
Yes, that.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

If you love ellipses so much, why don't you marry them?
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

WOW! I had an AMAZING time!!! The show was fantastic and I enjoyed seeing so many wonderful people there to support the band!!! I am sooo proud of them and excited for them!!!!! There were a few people I certainly missed (Simone, JC), and I know I was not the only one that missed you guys! Quite a treat to see Lauren and her sister and Ashley from ATL and her gang! Also, pretty cool about some of the stars that made it to the show (not just KoL). I also wanted to thank Luke for the terrific job he did keeping the guitars in check and for risking his life around dancing madness!
Pretty funny side note-someone actually asked my parents if they wanted their cds they had just purchased, and if not, would they please give their cds to them. WHAT??? Are you kidding me??? Of course my parents wanted their cds!!! Did anyone see my mom dancing???? She is a feature's maniac!
I was on cloud 9 all night for many reasons!!!! Thanks for the happiness everyone!

i have a confession to make

i'm really johnny leon. and yes i've noticed the little jabs at my band here for some time now, but i'm willing to put that all behind me and start anew. i could've stayed undercover, but i just felt that it was time to come clean.

oh and i'm gay. and me and my cousin joey leon get it on regularly.
she's just another ho that i met in the hood
i told her i was crunchy black and it was all good

Please tell me someone recorded this.
Blightman did.
Do you by any chance know his email? I don't believe I've ever met him or seen him post on here. If you've got it, would you mind sending me a pm so I can beg?

Be patient, my friend. And don't e-mail the Blightman. We'll get it tree'd up soon enough.

I don't have it, but it's going to be a while before I commit to more trading. I think I'm about the world's worst trader.

BTW, my CD burner will be back up soon, Jakob, and I'll be sending you some CDs.
