I wrote a mini-review under the general forum..I was too lazy to start a new topic (they only opened) and no one was there anyways, so I didn't think anyone would reply.
Why would you do that?

Good, albeit brief, show in Athens. Several new fans were won. Amazing how they can be the opener and yet still blow the headliner out of the water in terms of sound and stage presence. They opened with Circus, ended with Thursday, and somewhere in the middle was:
Walk You Home
Temporary Blues
Harder To Ignore
Me and The Skirts
Exhibit A
Love is Gold(en?)
New Song (they said it was new but I don't know what the means, something that ended with -osis, perhaps?)
Leave it all Behind
A Million Ways to Sing the Blues
That's the Way It's Meant to Be

I think that's all..short, but great (Matt playing on his knees was the highlight). That's the last I'll see of them for a while.
Just for future reference, I thought I'd copy it over here. Thanks for the review, Buckley! Sorry it was so short.

And the "new song" is Mosis Ptosis (sp?) and it rules.
Daigle is all we need to make the night complete

There were a few of us there. I was just too lazy to comment. The only thing I can say is that some frat guy was making fun of Parrish. I thought about killing him. mad.gif

Wow, I can't believe I guessed correctly. I saw a couple of you, and I guessed that one of you was Iwantelvis...amazing. I have no idea how I did that...

There were way too many frat guys there that nite. More than are ever at the 40 watt...I'm guessing they probably got pulled in by The Whigs (who were okay, but kinda boring), whom everyone that I don't normally see at 40 watt shows had to come up and tell me "the whigs are some friends of mine."
Why would you do that?

It was strange to see so many frat guys there but if they end up liking the Features and supporting them, then I'm ok with it. Just don't make fun of Parrish.

I definately heard the Parrish thing... what a dipshit. You're probably right on the whigs thing. THey do pretty damn well in Athens drawing crowds and the fact that they are in school probably accounts for the student/frat scene that was there. As someone who has seen them a few times over the past year... they are definately coming along pretty well. Their songs are getting better and better and their growing up a bit... I think they're really young. Give them another year and they will rule. By the way... I feel like that was a new drumkit from the last time I saw the features. Was it?

You know what Stewart? I like you... you're not like the other people here in the trailer park. Don't get me wrong. They are fine Americans...

Sorry, couldn't resist. And I know it's Stuart.

rollum was playing his clear ludwig vistalite kit -- he's played it with the privates a few times, but that was the first he's used it with the features.

Hey, PF, I'm kind of embarassed to say that I recognize your member name & LOVED that album for about 6 months in 1999. Any other shoutouts for Harvey Danger? You know, Flagpole Sitta?

Carlotta Valdez anyone? People just freaking look at me like I've lost all marbles when I say that is one of my fav cd's. You gotta luv Harvey Danger... and a fair warning to what happens when you release your catchiest single...
