AWESOME show! Pretty good turnout considering there was another gig with Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol, and Hot Hot Heat that night. It was great to see how Chicago responds to them. Even some new fans from Atlanta came up for the show.
The venue was having some major issues that night with horrible heat, humidity and flooding...rumors of sewage flooding...in the green room and all of downstairs. NASTY. I don't think it ruined anyone's night, though. Maybe some appetites...
WGN was interviewing the owner(?) at the Double Door while the guys were setting up for sound...anyone catch it on the news? Sadly, they were doing a sympathy piece on the expected closing of the venue...rent is going up and it might be turned into a Banana Republic. Uggh.
As far as the setlist, I will do my best (mostly in order...)

Circus
TWIMTB
Me & the Skirts
*Take You On (damn sexy song!)
Blow it Out
2x2
*Contrast (me likey!)
Million Ways
Demons
Idea of Growing Old
Exhibit A
Arcata
Mosis Ptosis
Hold You Alone
Thursday

encore:
Darkroom
The Beginning

*new songs--most likely will hear again (I hope!)

Wiyum, did you go?

Oh man, I hope they play them at Music Midtown!

Thanks for the review, hon.

Yes, that was a great show! We're the people that flew from Atlanta to see them in Chicago....it was worth every penny. We caught them last night in Chattanooga, and they tore it up again - just nailed every song perfectly - one of the best we've seen.

There's only one problem with that setlist, there's no "leave it all behind"
