It was nice to sit back and enjoy a Features show without wires and microphones wrapped around my person.

The set was short, but I was into it unlike any I'd been to in a while. I had the pleasure of meeting several of you from that board, which was a treat. I like the new song, 'Buffalo Head.'

I thought the crowd was OK. It was a lot of kids, but they did get into it. There was an aerobics class in the back during 'Walk You Home' doing something that I wondered if it was previously choreographed. My companions were feeling old the whole time in the presence of the young faces.
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.

Don't you usally go to Generation Next to pick up sixteen year-old girls? I'll bet the guy at the door recognized you when you arrived.

The vibe was quite strange and the show was rather short, but good. Good action from Matt tonight, including an inspired back-on-the-floor solo. I enjoyed the new songs as well. I'm sure JamieCarroll will have a setlist for us soon.

I think the kiddies at Nxt Generation enjoyed The Features, but don't completely 'get it' yet. There were a few instances of hooliganism among the teens, but they were pretty reserved for the most part. I don't know if The Features have any business playing there again, but other than feeling old, I didn't mind it.

I missed Silent Friction, so I can't repot on that. Born Empty was...

Anyway, it was good to meet YaDaDaDa and to finally see TheLawnRangler again. Overall a fun Sunday night. Memphis next Saturday.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

I arrived too late to hear Silent Friction. As for Born Empty... um... we'll pretend that I missed them too. I think at 18 I still qualify as a kiddo, so I'll save you the comments on atmosphere, but I can say that all the kids I knew there enjoyed it. And that's enough for me.

rock.
see the kids werent that bad were they? (with a few exceptions, i'll admit)
it was a pretty good turnout for a sunday night. i was kind of surprised. the features were insane as per usual. lots of flying around, breaking stuff, the usual antics. it was excellent, and as usual it put me in a great mood.

I'm 17 and the Nxt Gen. concert was my second Features show (the first was at Lipscomb around September). Although it was a school night I was definitely not going to miss seeing an 18 and under Features show. My friend and I were dead center at the front of the stage and we both had an awesome time. Unfortunately my other two friends couldn't ignore their curfew and due to BornEmpty's odd and long set, they missed the Features. Ah well, 18 is only 4 months away.

Ah well, here I am almost a year later and I have hit 1000 posts. So this was my first post ever and I have to say that the Nxt Generation show was actually a very good show that I look back on fondly. Since then I have met many people who are cooler and/or smarter/more drunk than me through this board and it has been quite an experience. smile.gif A positive one all around. Really. Really.

Now that I have this pesky 1000th post out of the way, I will go about posting random stuff about not Not-Oasis and being annoying. Here's to a lot more...

Wow, this post makes me realize more acutely how long I have been reading this board and how little I have ever posted. I remember I couldn't go to that show with YDDD because I was going to embark on the first day of my teaching career. Ah, nostalgia.

Here's to your 1000th post, your 18th birthday, your finally being out of high school, and to your enjoyment of many, many more Features concerts (we all hope!).

Nostalgia rocks. I get nostalgic about getting nostalgic. And congrats to you and ELT's long relationship. No wonder you guys were voted the "Cutest Couple" superlative.

awwww....that's so sweet. congratulations.....

also, smee, i didnt think i told you this on the burma trip but, like one of your friends, i also went by "nosaj" in high school. sexysadie can verify this information. i think i was too sleep-deprived to tell you that on the trip. i know that was a random revelation, but anyways.....

Congrats, Digsy, on reaching 1000 posts. It's hard to believe that that Next Generation show was a year ago!
