That poll is pretty damn cool, I might question it's location in concert reviews, though.

So I'm reading the DitD thread, and I'm getting into the whole IHOP versus Waffle House debate going on there, and I'm about to reply and say we should put it to a vote when I see this whole "New Poll" button at the bottom of the thread. And I click it, and that is how it got in the Concert Reviews section. Bad placement, I realize, especially in retrospect, but good intentions, I swear!

i guess i could go to ihop as well... although i voted for waffle house, i am now officially impartial. i do have good memories at ihop, such as the time i watched a blind guy use his hands to find the last few bites of chocolate chip pancake...

Why not just stay at the BORO? After all, beer is like a liquid version of a pancake OR a waffle! The debate should end there.

very true, but there are those among us who are not of age to purchase this nectar (me for one). as much as i'd like to sit and have a drink with the folks from the message board, i think i would have better luck at waffle house or ihop.

Waffle House doesn't serve pancakes, so your opinion in implicit.
It's funny how the two respect each other's territory like that.

I think that would be really cool. But we must all resolve that no matter how shy we may be or how awkward we may feel around each other at first, we're still going to freakin' follow through with this.

Will we go right after the show or will people want to hang out at the Boro for a while?

i think it would be funny to have multiple small groups from the show, too shy to introduce themselves. everybody would sit at booths by themselves and look around wondering who the other features kids were.

it wouldn't surprise me. i do that at the shows. i wonder and stare and try to put faces together and am too shy to just ask. but if we all meet after the show i'll msot certainly be very sociable.

i think we need to wear name tags at the show adn then get together afterwards and decide.

that is hilarious that this "sitting at boothes by themselves" idea was mentioned. just a few hours ago, a fellow features board member and myself were discussing doing just that. not that it wouldn't be fun, but i consider myself a queen of social ackwardness. so if you see two cowardly-looking individuals at a booth nearby...

And I shouldn't moan that much about Goodwill. I did find a *hopefully* authentic 70s suit that looks like it came straight out of Monty Hall/Richard Dawson's closet. Vest, Pants, Jacket....great deal...might wear to a Features show. That would definitely prove my "desperately trying to be cool" theory.

This sounds like almost every Features show for the last six months. I'm starting to feel so silly that it's overriding my sense of social awkwardness. That's why I've been pushing for us all to meet. I know some of you prefer to remain anonymous, and that's cool. (Well, not really, but if you want to think so, I won't burst your bubble.)

We come up with so much random crap on here to discuss... surely we can fill a half hour with some friendly banter.

good point tom foolery. i guess it all depends on whether i can muster the guster after the boro show. i guess it would be kind of silly to sit quietly by. we'll just have to see who wins the battle of "feeling silly" vs. "painful shyness." rolleyes.gif

In my case, if any type of urge comes over me to introduce myself, i will have to forewarn everyone that there will be

A ) Lots of accidents, like spilling things and tripping

and

B ) If you think that I say stupid stuff on this board, trust me, it gets worse when I'm shy and in public. Only about 2 out of about every 100 jokes are actually funny.

But hey, I'm up for it...

in somewhat related news, liam almost had a go at that james walsh character from star sailor. i'd like to see that. they strike me as being second rate brit pop. nothing terribly original from what little bit i've heard...

anyways, the star sailor guy apparently took offence to some comment that noel made earlier in the year, so he decided to get in noels face about it. noel, having matured a bit, ignored him. liam, however, didi not appreciate the scene, and stepped it. security stepped in before any punches were thrown. the moral? the star sailor guy needs to get used to the way things work in the british tabloids. star talks shit about other star, both get publicity. silly sod.
