the lexingtong show has now come and gone, and, despite the blistering heat, a good time was had by both fans and homeless bums alike. although it was a bit short and lacking in claps, it was well worth the trip to lexington - especially with beer and fireworks waiting for me back at home base. unfortunately, i cannot recall the setlist in its entirety. in no particular order, here are the ones i remember...

circus
walk you home
me and the skirts
exhibit A
the beginning
the idea of growing old
a million ways to sing the blues
excorcising demons
see you thru
leave it all behind
situation gone bad
the way it's meant to be
thursday

i was hoping to hear temporary blues or my long shot, extension chord, but i didn't get them. it's cool though, because the homeless guy didn't get any bb king, despite walking right up on to the stage and questioning the bands abilitly to rock all night long.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

The show was indeed a good time. It was very hot, but going sans shoes was enough to bear the sun. tongue.gif
I approached the band afterwards to see if they'd enjoy a frosty beverage and a burger, but sadly they had to go. I later realized that I would be branded as the "drunk, delirious, scary fan" for my stalkerish behavior. wacko.gif

Otherwise the show kicked ass, and plenty of people stuck around to watch them, so I think it was probably a success. Off I go to inbibe and shoot fireworks... ph34r.gif

i don't really know. there were quite a number of people, all over downtown. some stopped for a few songs and went on, i'm sure, but overall there was a good number. It was pretty hard to get a good head count as it wasn't a typical show-type setting. They were basically set up in the middle of a park.

i'm not really sure how many were people were there. not too many people that i recognized from murfreesboro/nashville shows, if any, but if applause is any indication there were plenty of people who enjoyed. i'd guess up to a hundred who were hanging out in that vicinity.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

It's about the set I thought it'd be. I'm not sad I missed it. It does get me a little more excited about Atlanta, however.

After such a long hiatus, I would've guessed they would have had a new song to play. Maybe they're saving it for the hometown crowd.

Do what I do: make them up.

One time I saw the Features do an acoustic set. Rollum on conga, Roger on stand-up bass, Parrish on piano and accordian, and Matt on acousitc guitar. They played all the classics!

haha..dork. oh well, i thought the show was alright for the conditions. i mean, its hard to have a great show when its 100 degress outside and 5 out of 150 or so have seen you live before. it did, however, make the 4th even more memorable. beer, grilling and the features.......yum.
