I randomly turned up at the uni tonight for the (apparently usually) crap student night that is double vision. I was well impressed that as soon as I made my way through the maze to the good room, a wicked band (that would be you) was on!

New fan, twas great, and so is the cd! Can't make it to any other shows, so you should come back to the UK soon, as rainy and unappealing as it is.

Welcome, Vurt!

I'm glad you enjoyed the show.

I've always wanted to visit Liverpool, for the obvious reason.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

Hey... !
Me too. It was funny coz just on that afternoon one of my mates asked me "are you going to double vision tonight?" and I was like "WHAT??" . But misteriously that night I got a free ticket for DV... and so there I went...And as well as this other person I made my way to the only decent room left (after they got rid of the DB one last year which I quite liked)... and was quite pleased to see such a good band playing!
I don't know anything about you but my housemate got the cd so I'll be listening to it!
Great night! thanks for that@

Very glad to see you enjoyed the show!

Even better, your username is one of my all-time favourite books!

Score!

Woohoo! I love clinic. Are they coming back to the U.S. soon?

I am also very excited that the band is getting more fans. I talked to a bummed band member the other night because the crowds were not as big as they would like in some towns. I blame it on night of the week, size and location of town, etc... However, not all nights have been this way. And of course, the few people in the audience those nights were quickly won over-I just wish they would join the board or post.

Hope thursday goes well! Get as many people to go as you can! You want them to come back, don't you?

what about echo & the bunnymen?

i did the "magical mystery tour" in liverpool back in 1997 -- though it was fun, it was pretty expensive. but at the end you get your choice of 1) a free beverage at the pub or 2) a "magical mystery tour" poster.

oh, and welcome liverpoolians!

One can only wonder if the irony here is obvious to the British fans...

They playing "Thursday" across the pond? Likely to close?

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

Welcome to the board all y'all new folk!!

I'm seeing an obvious pattern here. All reviews from England in some form or another point out that The Features blew all the other bands out of the water...

... and that's the way... it's meant to be.

i'm really glad these people are coming here.

but since i'm the negative one here, i'll add that i'm uneasy about the fact that the features are playing shows also known as "crap student night."
she's just another ho that i met in the hood

At first I was surprised to hear that they're playing the "old crowd favorite", but then I remembered that they're still trying to sell the vinyl.

Yup jeff noon is great. I'm reading pollen atm, so I'm damn glad I read vurt first or I'd have been -really- confused. Read automated alice as well a while back, obviously also good!

I was living in Rusholme and reading Pollen in the Summer a few years back, whilst suffering from terrible hayfever. It was quite scary. The car chase even went down my street...

The true test will be whether or not they can get the clapping right on "See You Through."

Don't worry about that! Looking at the tour dates, they're certainly playing the right venues for them.... the venues that will be a proper launch pad in the UK. I'm gutted I already have tickets for another show tomorrow. sad.gif
