Just about finished washing the mud off, now reflecting on a fantastic weekend.

Saw so many great bands, but the real surprise was that out of all these bands I knew and loved, the show I enjoyed the most belonged to the Features.. Up until then I had only the single 'The way it's meant to be' which I enjoyed, but forgot to find out more.

But now I am totally addicted. They performed with such joy, innocent type joy, not posturing.. after one song I had a sly smile, and with each song my grin got wider and wider. My friend loved them too, with were both dancing away. Managed to get the set-list at the end, which is a nice bit of memorabilia.

After that set I was in such a happy mood that I refused to watch any other bands for two hours, because they might spoil the brilliance.

Please, please, please come back to the UK as soon as possible! Can't wait for the album.

Thankyou carligula! I shall put it with pride of place upon my mantelpiece. Alongside the trophy I won when I was about 8, for winning the sack race at sports day.

The Features also get the honour of being the most polite band of the whole weekend. Fantastic performance for each song, but at the end of each and everyone there was a thankyou. Sometimes repeated thankyous. That made me giggle!

After the set my friend and I attempted to go and buy T-shirts, but to no avail - whilst most carling stage bands had T-shirts for sale, the features did not. But then I exclaimed loudly that it would be so much cooler to make our own. I exclaimed far too loudly and got a lot of funny stares biggrin.gif I'm still planning the design though!

They should have had brand spanking new tour t-shirts... I helped them pack the damn things. BTW they are pretty cool.. the Features girl logo with something like "Some of Europe & A little of The United States World Tour 2004" can't remember the exact slogan, but that's the gist... on the back up on the collar is GreyBeard. Green, tight ring tees for the chicks and green tees for the dudes

sad.gif Shame if there were T-Shirts and they didn't arrive/get sold. We toured the three different T-Shirt vending points, and pestered the sellers to look if they had any, but all denied existance of them.

But there were about 6 styles of T-shirt for each of the main stage acts *yawn* I don't beleive I watched a single act on the main stage, even the well known acts like Supergrass and the Super Furries played the second stage. Main stage was mainly reserved for rubbish!

They sold them at the Metro Club gig. I didn't get one (I had no money), but from what I could work out in the dark, the "Some of Europe & A little of The United States World Tour 2004" statement made me giggle. Will they be available to buy on the site? I'm regretting not taking extra money with me now. sad.gif

Just for the kids out there... a metric shit is arrived by multiplying an english standard shit-ton by 2.638. Enjoy.

It looks like Letterman has a FeaturesTroll hidden under the desk there. Do you have a confession to make?
