Despite mediocre sound and being limited to an opening set, the band put on a good display of their current wares. I was too distracted by having fun with mindylieu & friends to keep track of the set list, but I know it included:

Harder to Ignore
Leave it All Behind
Walk You Home
Me & the Skirts
The Beginning
Thursday

I think I also remember Exhibit A & That's the Way It's Meant to Be. Matt, especially, was in top form- he was actually GRINNING towards the end of Thursday.

The second band was a couple of noisy wankers called "Hella". Quasi was okay, but it seemed hard for them to pull off their songs with just the two of them. I never really knew what a sucky guitar player Sam is, either. But he does rock the keyboard. Janet was good in all respects. iwantelvis- I'm glad I found you before you left!

Hmm... I don't remember That's the Way It's Meant to Be but I could be wrong. Overall the show was very nice. The Features just seemed out of place next to Hella (who were way to much for me ) and Quasi. I know they at least made fans of my sister and her boyfriend. Two fans is a success I guess...

And nice to see you Lauren, if only briefly. smile.gif

I too enjoyed the Features set despite its short length. It’s always somewhat frustrating when a great band is the opener. I finally picked up the Beginning ep while I was there—not sure why I waited so long to get it. It is indeed excellent.

I know this is a bit late, but I have been stranded in Atlanta since that night! Well, not stranded, but without a computer. Anyways, Lauren it was awesome getting to meet you! I had a blast with you and your friends and now I will never take ketchup for granted. I am so glad I was able to make it to the show, but I wish it had been longer and the following acts had been more of my taste. Where did the earl get that furniture? Airports?
