I don't care at all about the Harry Potter books. I though the first two movies were okay to good. I might see this one if I have nothing better to do.

I was really disappointed with the first two movies, so I'm really curious to see what Cuaron does with this. I haven't read the fifth book but of the four I've read, I really thought the 3rd was the most exciting.

I was wanting to read the second book, see the second movie, and read the third book before seeing the third movie...but I don't see that happening by this weekend. I'll probably just rent movie 2 and see movie 3. My professor for my summer class went to the preview at Opry Mills and he said it was amazing.

I am really happy that it comes out this weekend. I am one of those dorks who has read all five books so far and I guess all I can say is that books 3 through 5 are not for young children. I believe that Alfonso Cuaron will do a great job, the first two were directed by Chris Columbus (a director that aims for family films) and the first two books are pretty innocent still. But there is a lot of death and havoc yet to come, esp. in books 4 and 5. Sorry to rant.

Who knows? I read an article about the film and Cuaron said, "There needs to be a sex scene in this film and someone needs to take their clothes off." He was being silly though. Wouldn't that be hilarious?! Can someone say Ron and Hermonie? Yikes!

while I didn't see the first two, the preview for this movie left me extremely impressed. the film looks very dark and beautifully shot...and Gary Oldman rocks.
Bill, it was a different time. It was back when we didn't know the Russians were incompetent.

I read somewhere that former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown makes an appearance in this movie.

if that's true, which i doubt, i hope he doesn't attempt to sing...it may just be that there's a chimpanzee in the film and it, naturally, is a ringer for brown.

This movie kicked ass. I know this is also because of the book, but I like the way the film left so many things untied at the end...not all nicely summed up like at the end of the first two.

Y3D and I saw this in Oxford as a break from sightseeing and endless walking, and I thoroughly enjoyed it (though not the $16 a ticket pricetag!!). Much better than the first two.

I saw it earlier this week, and liked it very much. Why do I have a crush on Professor Snape? That's fucking weird.
That's so NA.

Are you honestly surprised to be attracted to an old british dude? I thought those were the two qualities you loved best in a guy.

True, but have you seen him outside of that character? Not so hot.

I totally dig all the Weasley's. Red heads...Mmmm.

I really enjoyed this movie too. I own the other two, but this one is a definite must buy. I liked feeling like I was watching some magical, British version of Back to the Future at the end. That was awesome.

I've never read any of the books, and I'm not a huge harry potter freak. Although I did go see it in theaters, and was actually not to disappointed. It was directed well, alot better than the other two. It was a little strange that they werent in there usual hogwarts attire though. Atleast now that they are finally teenagers I dont feel so guilty for having a crush on Ron.

You must choose. It is like that movie "Sofie's Choice" only it is Nathan's choice. Do you know that movie, "Sofie's Choice"? It is like that. Only it is this.
