i really hope this film isn't a disaster. I love Joy Division, but I agree with rachel...this is poor casting. If you want the story on the band, go rent 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE with the amazing Steve Coogan.

If you want the story on the band, go rent 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE with the amazing Steve Coogan.

24 Hour Party People's version of the Joy Division story is full of half truths and historical inaccuracies. If you want the real story, read "Touching from a Distance" by Deborah Curtis (ian's widow). This is the book that this new movie is based on. You'll see how much of a bastard Ian really was.

I think he has the right eyes!

Why don't they just get the bloke from 24hour party people to do it?! His portrayal was so understated yet perfect.

I'm not sure I like the thought of Ian Curtis becoming a Hollywood legend...

Jude Law is one of the coolest guys on the planet.

However, they need to get the guy who played Ian Curtis in 24 Hour Party People.
