TOPIC: Superman III or IV

I saw the Superman III tape at Blockbuster tonight and found myself thinking back fondly on my childhood. Superman III featured Richard Pryor as a guy who creates a synthetic form of Kryptonite with nicotine in it (because there was one ingredient missing and Pryor replaces it with the first thing that he can think of) to destroy Superman. Once Superman (reprised by Christopher Reeve) comes in contact with the synthetic Kryptonite, he finds himself turning evil and careless, due apparantly to the nicotine ingredient. At one point, the now careless Superman wanders out of a bar and flies drunk until he lands in a junkyard. He then splits into two different people: evil Superman and Clark Kent. Kent eventually defeats evil Superman and returns as the real Superman, healthy, etc. Lest I forget the choice clips of a young Clark Kent at the beginning of the movie. FYI: the girl that plays Lana Lang in the movie also plays Martha Kent in Smallville.

Superman IV features the return of Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), who along with his nephew (some Brat Pack kid) , steals a piece of Superman's hair from a museum and uses it to create a new super being. He attaches a kit to a set of nuclear missles (that Superman will eventually capture and throw into the sun) knowing that Superman will try to get rid of them in his quest for world peace. Once thrown into the sun, the being forms and becomes a sun-man with Superman-like abilities. Mariel (sp?) Hemingway is also featured in the gem.

Which sucks more? Superman III with Richard Pryor, or Superman IV with Mariel Hemingway?

IV was much worse than III, but not as bad as the Superboy television show that came on in the early 90's.

I have a decent amount of "Superboy" and "My Secret Identity" episodes starring Jerry O'Connell. I really loved both of these FOX shows when I was younger, but I watched them a couple of months ago, and they do suck. For the record, Superboy sucks far worse than MSI, but I still like Superboy for nostalgic purposes.

I really like Lois & Clark, but that's partially just because that chick was mega-hot.

When I was in the sixth grade, this girl named Heather had a locker next to mine, and she was a member of the Dean Cain Fan Club. She had a postcard of him taped in her locker, and on the back it was stamped "Love Dean." He was wearing the Superman costume, and looking masculine. It was quite funny.
That's so NA.

so if you were looking in her locker, does that mean you were giving it a "heather lock(er) leer?"

ouch, that one even hurt as i typed it.
