I was talking more on behalf of the fact that I obviously have no clue whatsoever as to which tracks are the "Fan Favorites". I guess I relied too heavily on the strength of the singles (except for Blow it Out).

I have to say that I've been somewhat disappointed as far as what songs have been chosen to be released as singles. Not that I don't like what's been released, but in my opinion I think songs like Harder to Ignore, Circus, Me & the Skirts, Situation Gone Bad would have been better choices. I think those songs would do better as far as gaining popularity among radio listeners. Anyways, that's just my thought.

With all due respect, I have to disagree. I personally think they've chosen the catchiest, most listenable songs for singles. I won't argue, though, that they have better, more representative songs on the album (especially Blow It Out). It seems that an abundance of reviewers think Me and the Skirts is a strong track, but I don't think it would have been the best choice as a single.

I guess the votes went the way they did because most folks who've voted have been repeatedly listening to the album as a whole, not just the songs they heard on the radio.

last time I searched for The Features on limewire (my unofficial report on how much their popularity is growing), I found that "The Idea of Growing Old" was right behind TWIMTB and "Blow it Out" as far as popularity goes- and the other two were "official releases". I, for one, think that song RARELY gets the credit it deserves, and had it been released around Vday, I think it could have done just as well, if not better, than the first two releases.

But who really knows what will flop and what will not before it's done ya know? I mean, The Macarena was #1 on the charts for weeks. Anyway, I'm just happy we have singles out to analyze. Something is obviously working- Tickets have gone from $5 to $15 and we've had a ton of newbies on the board recently.

To put the limewire count into perspective, I see Walk You Home on there a lot, usually 3rd most, along with The Beginning, Leave It all Behind, and Situation Gone Bad.

Carl, after years of running this tournament, I have learned that the Features fans on this MB like their shit FRANTIC! Never bet against Circus, Harder 2 Ignore or Mosis Ptosis. Basically, the faster and more frenetic, the more popular.

That's tonight! Do it! We need more than 12 people to vote this round!

I propose that after this round, we use the MB Poll format.

are we sure that the same 12 people are voting?

it could be that it's a fresh set of 12 people each time, bringing the total count to 24!
you're everybody's second home
always trying to get me alone
an easy way to lose it all
always there when all else fails
over by the west side rails
