15 people voted. Here are the results:

Spongebath Region (Murfreesboro, TN)

(1) Paid to Think - 7
(2) Armani Suede - 8

Universal Region (Santa Monica, CA)

(4) Circus - 11
(10) Harder 2 Ignore - 4

Old Favorite Region (Nashville, TN)

(1) Thursday - 6
(2) Darkroom - 9

New/Rare Region (Sparta, TN)

(1) Mosis Ptosis - 12
(7) Love is Golden - 3

Okay, for the final four and championship, I guess we'll try doing message board polls. I'm not sure exactly how this should work. I guess I'll just set up the polls and say that this next round ends SUNDAY, APRIL 3 at 11:59 pm CST (although there really won't be anything to stop anyone from voting after that, will there?). And when the round is "over," do I start a new thread and announce the results? I'm not sure how well this is going to work, but here goes:

Armani Suede vs. Circus

Darkroom vs. Mosis Ptosis
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I guess one good thing is that we will probably see a rise in the number of voters, whereas the last two rounds usually dwindle. I like the way it works.

I think we have some strange Final Four match-ups this year. Really, does Armani Suede usually do this well? (I haven't checked). I also never would have thought that Circus would have so badly dominated over Harder to Ignore.

Go ahead and say it (again). These matchups are strange because breaking up the teams into 4 categories was a stupid idea. I still say Mosis Ptosis vs. Darkroom has the potential to be close. And so will the final.

I still like the idea of different regions, Carl. I think it's great.

I'm not sure about this poll voting format, though.

It's OK. Will the songs just be re-seeded in the same brackets for next year?

So Carl, now you're the new boss of this place? That sounds about right.
