I'm not aware of this show. It's not even on the King's of Leon site. I think somebody's wrong.

it's a warm-up for the tour, presumably for the benefit of kings of leon...but why is it so hush-hush is the question?

Somebody should call Meeks and ask.

No, perhaps someone should call the Kings of Leon and ask why. You know, it is their tour and all. If they're playing in Nashville and not listing it on their site, I'd say the mystery starts right there.

Oh, and Carl, Meeks wanted me to ask you nicely to stop calling him all the time. If he needs you, he'll call you.

Kidding. Sorry, had to eventually join in on this, especially since Carl keeps the joke alive himself!

I see your point, but wouldn't the features know if they were playing at 12th and p? And if Kings of Leon wanted it to be a "secret", why would they put it in the scene?

not that it really matters though, I'm still not 21 sad.gif

Word on the street says that one of the bands (not The Features) wanted to keep this show a secret, so we were just following along. Clearly the word is getting out. And it's expensive. And it's 21 and up. And most of you dislike the Kings, at least those that post here. Sorry for the ruse.

I leave it off the myspace profile, then. If that's okay with Sina.

Good idea. If it's not listed here, it shouldn't be listed there.

* KINGS OF LEON. With THE FEATURES and BE YOUR OWN PET. Formed right here in Nashville and anchored by the Followill brothers (guitarist Caleb, drummer Nathan and bassist Jared), Southern rockers Kings Of Leon have an affinity for artists like The Stones and Neil Young. They earned plenty of praise for the greasy licks on their full-length major-label debut, Youth & Young Manhood. After an incredible summer of U.K. gigs and MTV2 plays, Sparta, Tenn.'s favorite sons The Features make a return trip to their homebase to recharge before heading back out on the road and back to Europe. Frenetic, off-kilter and completely infectious, the quartet have just issued their wonderful Universal debut Exhibit A, and they bring some serious manic energy to their live shows. Quick tip — go to their Web site (www.thefeatures.com) to check out the excellent new video for Million Ways to Sing the Blues. 9pm, 12th & Porter, $15.

I like how that plug downplayed the KOL and praised The Features. It was like, "Blah, blah, blah, Kings of Leon...but who you really need to hear are the Features."

Completely infectious is the truth. I can't stop listening to Exhibit A...but of course I knew that would be the case.
