The subject subtitle should be "probably to be incorporated into the discography... is this something anyone would find useful on the discography tho?

The recent emergence of Standing By reminded me that I always wanted to keep tabs on what songs were still unknown to the general community... so here's this:

33 1/3 - STUDIO - LIVE -
48 - LIVE -
5/4
Action - LIVE -
Antigravity Class of '93 - STUDIO -
Armani Suede - STUDIO - LIVE -
Attention - STUDIO -

Button My Shirt - STUDIO -
Captain Williams
Christmas
Circus - STUDIO - LIVE -
Could've Been
D-Con (Radio One) - STUDIO - LIVE -
The Damage is Done - LIVE -
Darkroom - STUDIO - LIVE -
The Design - LIVE -
Disco
Discotheque - STUDIO -
Don't Lie to Me - LIVE -
Engine Debris - STUDIO - LIVE -

Untitled Christmas Song
Untitled Thunder 94 Song
Waffle House Menu - STUDIO -
Walk You Home - STUDIO - LIVE -
The Way It's Meant to Be - LIVE -
Willie and the Willigers
Your Smile - STUDIO -

So you can peruse this list and see what we've had on the mp3 site and other well-distributed live recordings. If you're a giving sort, you might slip some things that you have that the community doesn't onto the internet at some point...

In any case, songs that are known but unheard to the general community (no live or studio recording) are:
5/4
Captain Williams
Could've Been
Disco
I won't Let You Down
Smooth
Soon Discover
Willie and the Willigers
...and the holiday specials

Which is an amazingly low number of songs that people on this board are aware of but most have not heard... once upon a time, not too long ago, Stick Together, 48, Standing By, and Don't Lie to Me were on this list. Really, the last six months has brought alot of rarities to light. Well here's a list of more things that ought be brought to similar light...

I also thought that the entire 9/18/99 show was on the site. On it, you will find Discoteque live and Soon Discover live--if a studio version of it didn't turn up on the Rawlings sessions, it was never recorded. I think I might have a couple of others from the bottom of the list.

It would be nice to contact khautala, the kind keeper of the mp3 site, and try to get all that cleaned up and a bit more organized. The way things are uploaded, it is hard to find anything on it.

I won't Let You Down is on there, but I've never been able to download it... has anyone ever been successful getting that song?

Meanwhile, 9/18/99 doesn't seem to be on the site. If it ever was, I'm sad to have missed it. Maybe khautala still has it and can put it back up.

Was Soon Discover supposed to be on Rawlings? I've never heard that it was... That'd be great.

I really know very little about the Rawlings sessions, except what appeared on them. Soon Discover was a song that was a work in progress. Its chords and riff and "na na na na na" was morphed to make the last incarnation of "Stick Together" for its last attempt.

The 9/18/99 show used to be on the mp3 site. I don't know where it is now. The live recording of Discoteque is from that show.

I have a live acoustic recording of Willie and the Willigers taken from a drunken performance in my kitchen back in '98.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Forget preserving all of these songs for the general community, this needs to be shared for the sheer novelty of it.

Will, I tell you, you sure go through a lot of effort with this stuff. And thanks for that! It's just amazing what some folks will do for a band they love.

I don't think that I'm doing anything that hasn't been done for other bands, and done better. It's just I saw that no one was doing it for this band and I figured it ought to be done.

Now if only they'd come to Chicago again, now that I'm 21...
