TOPIC: An Old Features Blurb

I found this when I was digging around on the internet. It's a girl who worked for Spongebath, and this interview was done in early 97.

.Here is a link to the whole (short) interview.

Here is what she said about the Features:
Another one of our big acts is The Features. These guys are from a small town in Tennessee (Sparta). They are all very young and innocent. Before working with Spongebath none of them had ever traveled any further than TN. They use a moog, a theremin and anything else they can find that makes noise. They have been described as The Cars of the 90's. These guys are going to take over the world without even knowing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like how they had never left Tennessee before working with Spongebath. Especially now that Spongebath is dead while they prepare to go to England.
This was obviously written before Rollum joined the band. smile.gif
Has anyone here ever seen them use a theremin? This is the first I've heard of that. Which member played it? Or did they let one of their roadies play it for them?
I could be wrong, but I think I remember Parrish wrangling a theremin back in '97.
Please, let's keep this board rated PG.
I TOTALLY AGREE!
Wow, right on stage and everything!?! I always considered Parrish to be a much more private fellow.
Keith's right, though, this is a family messageboard.
I do remember a lot more strange noises from those early shows.
The closest Parrish comes to that now is when he fools around with all those moog sounds. He did that Saturday night, and I bet he'll do it again tonight.
I just realized that the show is tonight. Now I'm excited.
I have told Parrish several times that the theremin needs to come back. Otherwise I will be forced to sabotage the next features show with my own theremin skillz...
I was hoping that roadie's post would be foreshadowing for tonight. Alas.
