It annoys me how these reviewers can't go a sentence without comparing The Features with some other "famous" band. Is this the only way to review an album or an artist?

It annoys me how these reviewers can't go a sentence without comparing The Features with some other "famous" band. Is this the only way to review an album or an artist?

It cracks me up that this guy thinks "The Beginning" is following the garage rock fad when the song preceded the fad by how many years? It's going to be a double-edged sword: the occasional similarities between some Features songs & those bands will get them some notice, but I'm afraid a lot of people will make the same mistake this guy did.

This review goes to show ......good rock critics are few and far between....most of them are just hacks who have records.....give me Lester Bangs!

I've taken them all as the grain of salt that it's press for the Features coming from all over the place. In their defense, how else would you describe to readers what an album sounds like? This would be more complicated if you weren't just making one recommendation, but many.
I'm just saying this to raise a point. I agree with avalanche.

Yeah i understand describing what an artist sounds like .....thats cool.....but the person that reviewed the ep.....made em sound like rip offs......the features have at least ten years under their belt ......any respecting journalist should fact check before they misinform ......maybe i am just being an ass...but i have always believed a good critic sets aside what they like to get to the root of what an albums about ....... like for an example i love failure and i have seen year of the rabbit and like them but if i set aside what i like ...i would of gave their album a terrible review....that just my two cents .
