So since the Features aren't headlining I'm seriously debating not even going. Anyone want to guess how many songs they'll be singing? I'm also wondering if they'll be coming to the Nashville area any time soon. What do you guys know about razorlight? All of these things determine if I go tomorrow or not. Anyone "in the know" want to shed some light on these questions?

i dunno about the other questions, but razorlight are very good. the singer fancies himself, though, but probably not without good reason...they are quite big over here in the uk, members of the new wave kind of rocky thing. look out for a couple of songs called rip it up or the golden touch. they're gooduns smile.gif i think you should go, could be a brilliant set

This is really great news! I know they're mostly trying to win over KOL fans that wouldn't otherwise come see the Features, but I REALLY hope the guys play different sets both nights.

There could very well be more people there (in Nashville) to support The Features than for KOL.

what is the general features support like over in america? still pretty sparse in the uk, even though i'm a new fan i've only noticed the occassional nod from those who saw them with the kings and a couple of my more informed friends. i reckon they'll take off over here though. anyway back to the point, are they more supported than the kings? just curious smile.gif

The Features have slowly been building a large dedicated fanbase in the Middle Tennessee area (Sparta, Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, Nashville, etc) for about a decade now. I've noticed that they have an uncanny ability to polarize the local scenesters to either worship them or to proclaim that they represent all that is wrong and evil in the nashville scene. Over the past 4 or 5 years, they've been getting further and further from home as they support bands like Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, Jump (Little Children), Kings of Leon, and Razorlight. They seem to immediately win over small groups of concertgoers to the point that they make their way here to this messageboard. All in all, they seem to get a good response in most cities they play in both the US and UK.

The Kings of Leon have a quite different story. According to my sources, they were signed to a record deal after only playing a handful of shows in the area. They allegedly took an opportunity early on to talk about how country-centric nashville is and how tough it was for them to get noticed as a rock band. That turned a LOT of the scenesters off to the band. Many here feel that they are not a good band to represent the scene considering they didn't play many shows here and didn't really have time to properly immerse themselves in the scene and "pay their dues". Apparently, they're pretty hot shit across the US, though.

thankyou for the enlightenment smile.gif i now feel a little more informed about the musical scene in and around the nashville area. i think it's interesting to get a bit of an idea about a groups home town/city support. ta
