We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

If the Features went on tour with _________, they would blow them off the stage.

Fill in any band making music today.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

i think they should build a time machine and go back to 1979. they could start a tour with the buzzcocks, wire, talking heads, television, pere ubu, elvis costello & the attractions, & abba.

What ever happened to the Features covering 'Take a Chance' by Abba? It would have been a natural.

i think a features and elvis costello(circa 1982) tour would have been very excellent.

If barriers of time are put aside,
The Features opening for Bach performing the Goldberg Variations would totally rule.

That, or Reckoning era REM.

Nowadays I think they'd do great things with the Flaming Lips.

I think Apples, Beulah, & Beachwood Sparks would've been my first 3 picks! Also the Shins. Without the constraint of time, I'd have to say the Zombies

i realize that if anyone even knows who they are, i'm going to get made fun of for this...
but i would love to see the features play with phantom planet. not because they have anything in common musically; phantom planet is just the only band i can think of whose live show rocks as hard as the features', energy wise.

sorry, i just wanted to see how far we could take this quote-within-a-quote-within-a-quote-within-a-(well,-you-get-the-idea)-thing. but for sake of continuity, i'll go ahead and agree that all of the above (especially the zombies) would be good shows.

Their drummer (Jason Schwartzman) was Max Fischer in Rushmore, which either gives them or prevents them from having credibility depending on your point of view. Brynnalicious forced their new CD on me, and it was pretty decent.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

you know, beulah is playing at the slow bar in april. out of everyone's suggestions, this one is probably the most feasible. everyone bother grimey and maybe it'll happen.

actually beulah should open.
beulah was my grandmother's live-in maid.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

YES! Exliontamer, how can you say that a band described as 'Energetic, Intense, Outrageous, Boisterous, Rousing, Brash, Confident, Rowdy, Trippy, Reckless, Manic, Aggressive, Tense/Anxious, Sexual, Carefree, Rebellious, Cathartic, Volatile, Angry' sucks? Maybe you don't like squeals & moans as a vocal style...

Also, the Slow Bar webpage says that Beulah show is April 24. Might I suggest starting a grassroots demand for the Features opening?

i don't care what the press says about them. they have that annoying jon spencer thing about them. it's fine for a few songs, but it wears thin very quick. i love jonathan fire eater and they seem to get lumped in with all that crap. they actually did something interesting with their adrenalin.

The Wednesdays would be an amazing match up with the features. They're are pure energy but not angry or obnoxious. They just rock.
