TOPIC: Beware of Spam Threads!
Posted  Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 8:55 PM
Post 1 of 4
I opened a spam thread today that directed me to another page. In addition, I later found a trojan horse virus on the computer I was using that may or may not have been related to the spam. Unfortunately, because of the re-direction, I haven't determined how to delete the thread. So, do not open threads that appear to be spam.

Also, if you have opened spam threads recently, it wouldn't hurt to check for viruses/spyware on your computer.

Most spam threads are automatically tagged with a green one-eyed smiley face, so avoid opening those (and try to avoid tagging your own threads with them).

I strongly recommend that you firewall your URL.

If that doesn't work, just take some penicillin
