I've kept up with this board ever since it's birth, but never had anything to post, until now.
I was on Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire's website today-www.bowloffire.com (A GREAT group outta Chicago), and saw that they're planning a SouthEast and MidWest tour w/our beloved Features in October. If this is right, does anyone know any more about this tour?

i've heard from management that this is a done deal. this should be a great opportunity for the boys to spread the gospel.

You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

I was told a few weeks ago that they were in talks with a midwestern band for a tour that would bring them to my beloved Chicago. I guess this is it.

Like you Damon...I'm looking forward to their tour. That's so exciting. Hopefully I can take a little mini-trip to one or two of them and catch them in a new enviroment.

Oh, off topic....Wash Jones...is your name in reference to William Faulkner's Absalom Absalom? Or am I missing something I should know?

I can't wait for this tour!!!! I have seen Bird, with and without the BOF, three times in Nashville over the last couple years; I highly recommend his latest album The Swimming Hour. I of course catch every Features show possible; I just can't get enough! I would like to know more on how this pairing came about. Ironically, I wore my Features shirt at the last Bird show. Coincidence? Most likely.
