Thirteen shows in three weeks... that's almost enough to satisfy my Features craving. I'm seriously thinking about going to Chicago. What better place to spend Halloween? And congratulations to the fans in Johnson City; it looks like you're finally getting another show.

Which shows are you planning to attend?

You can count me in for:

-Nashville - Oct. 19
-Johnson City - Oct. 25
-maybe one or more of the TBAs, depending on where they turn out to be (Birmingham? Knoxville? Asheville? Memphis?)

I really wish I could go to Chicago. I WOULD probably go if it was on a weekend. I just can't do it during the week.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

YAY for the Johnson City show. I will be happy to see you there JC. And, Tom Foolery, you have an open invitation to attend. Anyone who wants to take the trip to Johnson City can stay at my apartment. There is plenty of room. I'm SO excited.

I would love to go to as many of those shows as I can but...I think one will be the limit (I definitley have to keep up with seeing the Features once a month). But which one? Hopefully the funds will have increased by then. And I'm warning you, Stephanie, I might take you up on that offer and you better have The Game Show Network ph34r.gif biggrin.gif

What are the chances that we could persuade a member of the band to keep a tour diary and post it here? Or maybe just send in a couple of "postcards" while they're out (a la Peter Buck on R.E.M.'s Up tour in '99)? I would really love to read their thoughts about the shows and the whole touring experience!

Thank you. If your apartment gets crowded, I call dibs on the balcony.

I do, indeed, have the game show network. You are more than welcome to it. It would be fun! Anyone who thinks they can make it, let me know.

I'll be at one or both of the Chicago shows. Jamie- the Chicago show on the 1st is a Friday night, right? That counts as the weekend!

Don't forget that Southwest Airlines is offering a $30 fare from Nashville to Chicago (Midway). You can't beat that price!

I'll probably only be lucky enough to be boring and make the 12th show.

I'm at both Chicago shows. My friends will be with me for the November 1st show, and maybe some at the Halloween show, but no one wants to commit to that date as of yet...

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

yeah have the rugged look, and it least have some kind of i.d. even if it is very fake, they might let them pass.
or try talking to the band and have him walk in with them. thats what my friends do when we play there.

i'd have to use people that know people that know people to do that. maybe the rugged thing will work- or maybe he could look homeless. that might work too. who would turn away a homeless guy who wanted to spend his $5 on a features show? he might even get a sympathy beer... dry.gif

he'd better go see Apples in Stereo as well. i he doesn't, i'm going to kick his ass.
