TOPIC: calling all helpers

carligula and i are heading up a bunch of different activities to get ready for the CD release. we could really use any help we can get on putting up flyers, passing out handbills (we have hundreds), ESPECIALLY high school promotion. if anyone is interested in helping, you can email me at featuresgirl @ hotmail. com, and i send me your name, your features messageboard name, and your phone number. a couple of you have emailed me so far, but i'm not sure who you are by your first name, so just email me to confirm who you are. i also know miss september and joeywade specifically have offered to help. basically, we need to split up different areas to do a massive amount of flyering and people who will be attending different shows in the next few weeks to offer to flyer cars. i will have all the things you need to do it, i just need people to say what show they will be attending and if they would be willing to flyer cars. i t would be great to have someone flyer this weekend's jetpack/slack/aaron robinson show and then have different people for each campus area in town and in murfreesboro. there will be a different phase of this kind of thing later on, but for right now, we just need to get the word out at shows. also, if ANYONE besides rachel is in high school and can help spread the word, that is a big target we need to hit because the show is all ages. i'll be going to rocketown to do a lot of that this weekend. anyway, just email me, and tell me who you are and carl or i will get in touch with you soon. thanks in advance. i think it's going to be great if we can get tons of people there.
maybe i could sing along
to your neverending songs,
i'm just looking for some fun

i tried to get in on the helping, but carl's too big to answer my PMs now.
i don't know my school's policy on fliers but i'll ask tomorrow, if youd like.
i will dig a tunnel from my window to yours.

I also sent Carl a PM he didn't answer, where I specifically said I would be at the Slack show, and that would be a perfect time to give me fliers to put around MTSU/Murfreesboro. I can get Elliston Place and any surrounding area in Nashville fliered up real good, too.
That's so NA.

Ladies, ladies! One at a time please.

For the record, I never officially volunteered to do this. I was asked.

I plan on passing out handbills at the Slack show. Man, I hate being that guy!

I don't know what you think about advertising in Knoxville, but I know some people on the board that could help me!

Proper circumstances notwithstanding, I doubt my parole officer would allow it...

Schools typically don't have policies on them. I'm 99% sure you can distribute them freely. There might be a something about teachers giving them out for non-school things, but a student can advertise things.

I would help, but I'm in Rolla, MO, and not a lot of people would make the 8 hour trip for some bands they've never heard of.

I used to be the editor of my high school paper so perhaps I could pull a few strings and get a good cd review or something put in their paper before the 14th along with an annoucement for the show. I'm pretty sure my journalism teacher and I ended on good terms.

Yeah. I can't get away with putting fliers on cars, etc., but I think I can recruit a few students to pass out fliers at Hillwood.
