So what do I need to know about this, besides the obvious when/where info? Someone hook me up.

Feable Weiner and De Novo Dahl are opening. Three A++ bands that would do great headlining themselves...get there early, I guess?

They expect the show to start in the neighborhood of 7pm. I would assume De Novo Dahl would start simply because Feable Weiner is already a huge draw at Rocketown. They want to finish by 11pm.

I won't say too much about this, but the management was thinking about throwing a party for the die-hard fans before the show, so don't make any plans after 6pm.

Nothing has been mentioned about pre-sale tickets, but I assume you could get that info at rocketown's site.

I have class from 4:30 to 7:30, so this seemingly prompt attitude towards the show is, for once, not cool for me. I guess I'll have to skip class which is something that I have only done once in my 2 years at MTSU.

Then again, I really only care about seeing the Features and if there is a guarantee that there will be enough CDs for the people who show up at, say, 8:15ish, I may just go late. Decisions decisions.

Yeah, I have class from 5:30-8:30, but priorities are priorities and I'll make the proper arrangements. The album is still coming out, right?
I TOTALLY AGREE!

There is no way that I'm going to miss the Features performance or this thing as a whole. I know it's not as long as most people here, but I've been waiting for this for a month short of 3 years and the apocalypse will be the only thing keeping me from it.

And since the shindig is supposed to be over by 11, that leaves ample time for post-show hanging out.

The prom idea seems to have lost some steam. I thought it was cute, though, and just might join Rachel in the dressing up. I mean, prom sucks and people dress up for it. The Features release show will certainly not suck.

I'm probably going to have to take the next day off school to attend this...which will really make me want to drink and celebrate, despite the 11:00 end time. I might just have to tape a flask to my thigh. A poofy prom dress just might come in handy...

i think the flask is the most essiential detail to the prom theme.

can we have a pre-show party AND a post-show party? post-show open to less hardcore fans?

I doubt I would rent a tux for show, but since it's in a smoke-free environment, I'll wear a tie.

If the postparty lasts long enough, I won't have to beg my friends for a place to stay. On a related note, I was at the hip new "indie" bar in Jacksonville Saturday, as Frances was bringing her wrath, and what did the DJ play? Walk You Home!!! I was ECSTATIC. I quizzed him all about the Features & he said he heard of them from Amazon. Maybe one of this "If you like this, you'll like the Features"? I told him he had to get the new album, etc., etc., I'm sure he got sick of my exuberance. It made my night (and got me through the following 4 days of no electricity)

As BrianW's appointed PR flack he has only this statement to make at this time:

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

"I understand the pitfalls of beer choices, and due to varied tastes of individuals I will be offering a multitude of fine kegged beverages. Details are being worked out now with Adam Dread to secure the finest and choicest barley-ed and hopped beverages. Please direct any further questions regarding pinatas and hors d'ouerves to my representative."

One last addition. The party will last to the ambiguous "?" as only the finest of parties do.

PF, you're fired! As my PR person you neglected to inform these folks of a rather embarrassing fact - my mansion, actually, my "Paartay Mansion" (equipped with a wall with 10 beer taps as well as several "secret" sex romp rooms) was foreclosed on last week and I have been forced to take a tiny one-bedroom apartment, all too small for a party I'm afraid. I'm sure you're all wondering what happened. I had invested millions into the Google IPO, or so I thought. Turned out I actually invested millions into my accountant's Swiss bank account and this sudden infusion of cash allowed him to take that trip to Mexico he kept saying he wanted to take. Sadly this has left me broke and living in a shithole.

So sorry folks. Had PF kept you up to date you wouldn't have gotten your hopes up here. But thankfully there's always Carl and that big house of his! And, I hear my PR flack, er, ex-PR flack has a nice house of his own!

I'm sure you have something fun to wear, somewhere in the depths of your closet. And I think JAD & Rachel have found each other.

Ben, I can't tell you how sad I am that you won't be there tomorrow night. Any chance of hanging out afterwards at BrianW's or are you completely unavailable?

I'm still dressing up Rachel, so don't worry. It'll be fun tonight. I need to get my ass on the road. See you kids tonight.

I'm wearing a tie, of course, but not my 3 piece suit. The 3 piece would end up cooking me alive...

How dressed up are we talking? Is it still prom themed? I'm confused!

Despite dress code confusion, I couldn't be more excited about this show (and the events of the coming days). I could get really sentimental about it but I am going to restrain myself. smile.gif

As the prom originator, yes the prom theme is still a go. I'm wearing what one might call a cocktail dress, so don't worry about needing leg-of-mutton sleeves or anything. We may be in the minority but, damnit, we will be handsome and we will be photographed. I can't contain myself, either.

All the cool kids are doing it. That means everyone but Carl. The question is: can you dance in said dress? wink.gif

I'll be coming straight from class (leaving early in fact) so don't expect me to look anything but busted up....

Yadadada and I are drinking Margaritas and listening to the fantastic album. We are skipping school tomorrow in honor of the Features. What a fun show it was...but weird in that Rocketown was so huge and unfamiliar. I had my doubts about the venue, but I think it was a good choice.

I am currently raising my glass to the Features. Well done, boys...and I wish you all the success in the world. You're wonderful!

Oh, and everyone who participated in the prom scheme looked fabulous. I wish I would have gotten my act together on that.
