TOPIC: Fading into obscurity...

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd start a thread. I hope this hasn't been done recently. It seems that The Features have really started to standardize their setlist...meaning that alot of old favorites will probably fade into obscurity as most newer fans won't really connect with songs like Extension Chord, Moonlight or Stagecoach since these songs aren't readily available on any recordings. So without further adieu...which songs do you miss the most? Which ones can you absolutely not stand to see fading from their setlists? My top 3:

1, Look Out Below (I got to hear hear it thankfully by request at the acoustic gig at Grimey's)
2. Moonlight
3. Temporary Blues

Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to be blessed with another "all request" show this year...

Personally, I guess it's just time to leave the old songs behind and accept that 95% of them will never be resurrected again. I think the all request deal was a one-off kind of thing...although I would much appreciate a second installment...

1. God Save Rock & Roll
2. Stagecoach
3. The Damage Is Done
4. Untitled II a.k.a. "Failed Attempt"
5. That "new" song where Matt played the piano
6. Love Is Golden
7. Untitled I a.k.a. "Chemical Head"
8. Moonlight

I wouldn't put Temporary Blues on the list since it has seen a giant resurgence after the all-request show.

There are too many amazing Features songs that have been played once and then disappeared. I miss those.

1. D-con (Radio One) - This was one written with Don so it went when he did, but damn it was catchy
2. Stagecoach - I always thought that was one of their first songs in the new style which they are currently in. Very good
3. Armani Suede - I think it made everyone a little funkier when they heard it.

I know these are old, but you asked which ones I miss and you got it.

After all this time that they've spent on the road, I am eager to see what they add to their set above and beyond their current standards. I guess anything would be a "resurrection."

"Look Out Below" was my favorite Features song for a long time and the only oldie that I really hate to see leave the setlist. I think their newest songs (Mosis Tosis, Arcata, and others whose names I forget but are probably easier to spell) are their best yet. They seem to be going back towards the kind of stuff they did on the Beginning EP, which is fine with me. I have a feeling that they have a bunch of new songs waiting to be unleashed. I mean, all of the songs on Exhibit A are at least 2 years old. Perhaps we will get a taste at the next Exit/In show???

1. Look Out Below could easily be their "ballad" on the next album
2. Chemical Head is an EXCELLENT choice Digsy!
3. Burma, although it was never a "regular".
4. Serious - I like it live, but LOVE the studio.

Damage is Done
God Save
Don't Lie To Me

And Burma was pretty much a regular when I started seeing The Features. At least I think it was. I smoked a lot of pot back then, so...
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.
