Hey,
I may have missed this one. But tonight, I saw a "new" Features' song called "Father Chirstmas" on I-Tunes. I've purchased and its pretty interesting and quite different than I've heard them before. Just an FYI.
Happy Holidays,
Jack

It's VERY good, I can't wait to find out the history behind this song's purpose... And why are we just now finding out about it?

Well I have no clue about this song, but I went ahead and posted a blurb about it on the news page. Not just anybody can upload a song to iTunes, so it's obviously official. Sounds great too. I'll try and track down more info on it to see if the non-iTunes users out there will have a chance to purchase or at least hear a sample.

Do you have to have an iPod to use iTunes?

Crazy! The sample sounds pretty cool...cool enough for me to register to the iTunes store finally. That's awesome.

ladytron: Nope. Go to iTunes and download it for free from there. It's both Mac and PC compatible.

So, you do have to download the free software to hear the sample, right?

I think it's cool that this is on iTunes, but I also think it would have been a great opportunity to do one of those viral email promotions.

Yeah, Carl, I don't know of any other way of hearing samples on the iTunes store other than going through the iTunes software.

i could, but it's an m4a file, so you'd still need itunes to listen to it. and if you're going to get itunes, you might as well pay 99 cents (given the exchange rate - about 5 p) to hear it. and you don't need an ipod. you can even burn it up to seven times or something.

Well, since I got a special edition U2 iPod for Christmas (I don't like U2, but since I didn't put an iPod on my list since I thought it was unreasonable and, therefore, wasn't expecting it, I'm definitely not complaining; the color scheme is cool) I will be downloading the song as soon as I figure all this stuff out. I also got $15 worth of free itunes music. I don't know what to download. I have some guilty pleasure songs selected already (Destiny's Child and Gwen Stefani). Suggestions?

I've spent the last 3 hours or so transferring my top 25 albums onto Madrox (my lame iPod name) and it's only 1/20 of the way filled up. Amazing.

i also got an ipod (sans U2 color) and a card for $15. once i'm back at school on my computer, and once we get internet at my house, i'm totally downloading this thing.

i'd played with em before, but wow... the complete simplicity yet undeniable awesomeness that is an ipod just floors me. my whole family has wanted to play with it today.

It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to change the volume on my buddy's iPod. (For those who don't know-- the volume is controlled by the huge freaking dial on the front.) I know it might be obvious, but if they aren't going to label functions on the thing, they should at lest put it in the instructions.

Well I'm having a nightmare getting hold of this track.... I downloaded iTunes, and then tried to buy it, but you can't if you're not in the US. So my friend in NY downloaded it and emailed it to me, my computer (including iTunes!!) just would not recognise the format.

Anyway, I think I'm to expect a mix CD from New York soon. What a palava!

Just bought the whole version... AMAZING. Why wasn't this talked about earlier? "Father Christmas" could possibly be one of my favorites, and is already one of my favorite studio recordings. This would have been so much better than that "Merry F*ckin Christmas" song (blink 182 I think) that I heard everytime I cut on the radio. There are so many things surrounding this song that piss me off,, maybe I'm just sleepy.

Either way, it needs non-seasonal lyrics so we can hear it live.
