Here's a fun little poll no one has ever tried before.

As a whole body of work, which Features sessions do you prefer?

Thursday 10" and the Spongebath Samplers would be considered part of the Mississippi Album.

I voted for the Mahaffey sessions mainly because my favorite Features songs were recorded during this period. See You Through, Dark Room, Exorcising Demons, the new Paid To Think and Armani Suede, Jurley, and Oh My Love...I'm probably wrong on some of those but I know that I at least got 50% of those correct.

kustomboy, you have been a member for a very long time, and these are yourr first posts! I'm glad you've decided to join us.

Go to the thread on page 2 of the general section of this message board labelled "How do you listen to the Features?" A ways down is Tom Foolery's comprehensive mix CD with all the stuff. It's missing a thing or two from the Mahaffey sessions maybe.

I figured this poll would be a battle between Beginning and Mahaffey. Beginning has good production value, recent songs, and it has been heard the most.
Mahaffey sessions has the most beloved Features tunes on it. I thought that'd make it give Beginning a run for its money, but the votes don't seem that way.

I voted Mississippi because those songs sound so good and are extremely well-crafted. The Beginning is too short and the Mahaffey sounds blah to me.

The surprise is zero votes thusfar for the self-titled EP.

Hopefully the new album will blow away everything that they have done. I'm getting antsy for the album, for the shows, for anything.

I share in your hope, and I believe it will be true. Assuming the Features produce a record and can be happy enough with it to actually release it, it will have to be better than the three sets of sessions that were not good enough for release.

I think the set of songs they have now is the best ever, and that will make the new album great. They're recording it at the same place where REM recorded "Document", which is much better than some Murfreesboran's basement. The promise is and has been good, and I think the pay-off will be great.

I'm just waiting as well, but I now consider myself trained in Features restraint. I will not seriously start getting antsy for it until next May or so if we hear nothing else about it between now and then. HOPEFULLY, we won't have to wait that long.

Nearly voted for Self Titled, but didn't. Mahaffey won out.

Check out the new MP3 site. I can't remember where it's located, but I know the title of the thread gives it away. I would link you from here but alas, I am not on the home computadora.
