Please post here your favorite lines from the Features. No whole songs or names of songs (we can discuss those elsewhere). What are your favorite lines from all of the Features songs?

it's the little things that matter most
like the monograms on your clothes

i don't think matt will ever beat that
Nothin' gets in my way....Not even locked doors!

You in your kercheif and me in my cap
We settle down for an afternoon nap
(The closest the Features will come to a Christmas song)

I've got no feelings
But I've got my hot tub lid/hand job clear
(Hot tubs or hand jobs, the world may never know)

I've got a dirty mind
It takes control sometimes
When I lie down to sleep
It's creeping up on me
(Whatever could it mean?)

Call a doctor, call a king
Someone should witness all the joy that you bring

Seems my girlfriend loves my LPs
More than she loves me

Here are some random ones that I like:

"If you can't join 'em, beat 'em
That's what mama used to say
It's the music not the money
that matters anyway"

"If you're happy and you know it, turn the volume up and blow it out"

"A little bit angry, a little bit tame
Me and the skirts always end up the same"

"This machine, it has no soul
It took away my rock'n'roll
And it won't stop until it's through
It's taken my girl, and it'll take you, too"

"Little fingers
Little toes
Little tempers that come and go
It's the little things that matter most
Like the monograms on your clothes"

You name a part of song where the lyrics are unintelligible as one of your favorites? I'm not sure what to think about that.

The opening of SWSA, already named, is likely my favorite. Otherwise the 33 1/3 quote is.

To add something new though, I've always been quite the fan of

The end is coming soon
it won't be long
The time has come
and the life you've known has got you on the run

We walked around this town
Made out like bandits in the moon

Just like Jesus Christ, we're misunderstood
Somewhere in between children and Robin Hood

I've got a dirty mind
It takes control sometimes
When I lie down to sleep
It's creeping up on me

Hey hey hey
Why'd you have to say those things
I've got a fragile heart
It's been torn apart at the strings

Ok, that's out of the way now. I was thinking, these are some of the lyrics to some of my favorite Features songs, and you know what? I really prefer the melodies to the words. I mean, if you were to just read them without kind of singing along, they're not nearly as good. I always sing along, because they sound so good when sung.
That's so NA.

No need to be alone,
I'll never let you down,
I'll keep you safe from harm,
Someway, Somehow.

And we'll be on our way
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoao
In your heart I'll stay (?)
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoao

MissSeptember's right. It's ALL about the melodies.

I think you've hit on something there.

"when you lose your way
remember what i say
as something to forget
and there may be hope for us yet"

"there's too much indecision
time to make your mind up
forget about the passion'
wake up to the design"

"do what you want to do
i know what you're going through
the path is long and narrow"

"hey hey hey (clap clap)
why'd you have to say those things?
i've got a fragile heart
and it's been torn apart at the seam"

"i get the feeling you knew
just how hard it would be
sometimes a good point of view
is not so easy to see"

"well i've been locked in my room, thinking of you
and carefully planning my next move into your heart
where i'll find a crossword puzzle and a rollercoaster ride"

Say what you want to say
Believe what you want to believe
Tell me what is true
You don't listen to me

Star light, star bright,
Oh, how I wish tonight,
That somebody would just pay me to think.

We were watching the parade
When I thought I heard you say
That it wouldn't be so long
Before we would fall in love

Currently,

I'm not for certain
I'm not for sure
But I think your pants are tighter
Than they were the day before

I remember being mesmerized by the adorableness of that lyric the first time I heard it. I would also have to say...

I'm keeping pictures of you in my head (clap...clap clap)
I'm looking at them every chance I get (clap...clap clap)

and

I'm developing a certain thing for you
each and every night in my dark room
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

I always loved:

For guidance through these troubled times,
we pray to god with satellites,
and hope our prayers are answered by
the patterns in the evening sky...

"Try and talk to you
Speak to you
Tell you what's on my mind
Well you don't wanna hear about it
Know about it
That's just fine"

**stomps foot**

You start a conversation you can't even finish it.
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything.

I like when Matt melts lines together:

Action, speaks louder than...
Words don't really mean that much

Nothing's stranger than...
Love is, love is golden

I'm sure there are more, I just can't think of them.
