TOPIC: Features at the Chattanooga Fall Festival
Posted  Thursday, September 5, 2002 at 11:54 AM

I just came across the shows page and noticed that a few new shows have popped up unannounced. Are they really playing the fall festival in Chattanooga on Saturday? Are there other bands playing? Is 2pm their official start time or the start time of the whole thing? Where in Chattanooga will said festival take place? Who's going? Do I ask too many questions?

Okay, they were announced on this message board. My bad.

I'd still like details if available. Thanks!

I'd probably be the one most would expect to know, but alas, I'm not going. I leave Chattanooga tomorrow afternoon and will be loading boxes into my new Chicago pad at the time this Features show would begin...

Have fun everyone!

My research indicates that they are playing as part of an annual festival called "September in St. Elmo." (Apparently, St. Elmo is "Chattanooga's first suburb," and they appear to promote some sense of community.) This article in The Chattanoogan says our favorite band will be playing at 3:00 PM on the loading dock at the St. Elmo Storage Building (which is at 3804 St. Elmo Ave.). You may also want to check the web page for September in St. Elmo for more information about the festival.

P.S. From what I hear, there are lots of chicks in "The Nooge" that dig Features fans of both genders. You might get lucky!

Disclaimer: I'm an idiot. I don't know anything about this stuff. This is just what I found by poking around on the web, and I have no way of verifying its accuracy.

i'm confused... does that mean that there are a lot of bisexual features fans in chattanooga?

oh, nevermind. i get it. for the record, ceeze could have scored at the last chatty show. i might add that the drunk chick who approached him later brought another chick and a black dude to introduce to him. this leads me to believe that ceeze could have also been in porn that night.

If the definition of "first" has come to mean the same as "most dangerous, ghettofied, and unforgiving" then this is a true statement.

In all honesty, St. Elmo isn't too bad, but I wouldn't recommend straying from the festival after dark anyways.

Wiyum is the only person I know that is qualified to comment on the sexual orientation or Chattanooga's fan base. However, as you surmised, I was referring to the young lady that propositioned Ceeze. Rumor has it that she also made advances towards Ms. W. If Ceeze had accepted the drunk chick's offer, I doubt it would've been his porno debut.

I'll take your word for it. I was simply passing along the neighborhood's rhetoric. They probably think "Chattanooga's First Suburb" is a better tagline than "Don't Carry More Than $10."

It's a cool name, though, isn't it? St. Elmo. Elmo like annual fall festival in his honor!

i encouraged both Ms. W and Ceeze to go forth and do their thing, but alas, neither were prepared to take part in a drunken orgy. said drunk individual seemed nice enough, so you're probably right about Ceeze not making his porn debut on that particular night (even though she later brought over another girl and a guy- and even though there ought to be a law somewhere that requires orgies to be video taped).

Thanks bunches for all the info TF and crew-- both about the show and about the sexual habits of the inhabitants of "the 'nooge". By the way, is that pronounced like the nickname of Ted Nugent?

If you go, be sure to report back with a set list and commentary on the show. I'd love to hear about The Features playing on a loading dock.
