Here are the Final Four results:

Armani Suede 7
Darkroom 16

Harder to Ignore 11
Hold You Alone 14

That means the championship will pit Darkroom against Hold You Alone. Voting will once again be done in a messageboard poll format. Voting ends Wednesday (4/5) at 10am CST.

While I'm not surprised that Darkroom stomped Armani Suede, I was plesantly surprised to see Hold You Alone top Harder to Ignore in a close race. The championship has been a pretty close race thus far. Maybe the divisions weren't as one-sided as I thought they'd be. With the exception of the Spongebath division, all divisions had strong champs.

I like to see new songs make deep runs into the tournament (like H2I a couple of years ago). I reminds me that the people in the shows' audiences who yell for really old songs are in the minority while most people really like the direction in which the band's heading.

i'll certainly echo that. i think that it's important that we support the band's new material. for one, it's positive reinforcement that they're still writing good music and for two, we wouldn't want the features to end up like james taylor, having to sing "fire and rain" every night of his life, metaphorically speaking, of course.

With 15 hours to go, we're looking at a very tight race. If you haven't voted yet, do it before it's too late. Every vote counts!

And the winner of the Features NCAA Tournament is:

Darkroom with a close victory of 11-9 over Hold You Alone.

Congratulations, Darkroom.

Oh wow. Darkroom must have made a last minute comeback. It seemed doomed. I'm glad, I guess. I like a lot of the new songs, but Hold wasn't one of my favorites.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

This better mean that "Dark Room" gets back in rotation. Otherwise, "Hold" was robbed.

I was so bored, I just looked up the Final 4 and Championship results from all 5 years of the Features NCAA Tournament. If anyone cares:

(Final 4 opponents in brackets)

2002: Circus (Leave it all Behind) beat Oh My Love (Darkroom)
2003: Buffalohead (Action) beat Circus (See You Thru)
2004: Harder to Ignore (Leave it All Behind) beat Circus (The Beginning)
2005: Mosis Ptosis (Darkroom) beat Circus (Armani Suede)
2006: Darkroom (Armani Suede) beat Hold You Alone (Harder to Ignore)

It didn't occur to me until now that this was the first year Circus wasn't in the Championship. I was also pretty surprised that Thursday never made it to the Final 4.

It's a real shame Circus never took home the prize, it definitely deserved it! Also, 'Oh My Love' needs a revival.

Thank God Darkroom won it. I was afraid all of you had gone mad.

I can't understand how H2I has ever won/got into the Final 4. That might well be one of the five worst Features songs ever (including unreleased tracks), in my opinion.

Of course Darkroom won...because it's the best...which means they need to stop leaving it out at shows. I'm really happy my favorite song actually won. Maybe there is hope in voting. And, I still don't understand why so many people hate Harder to Ignore.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

It all comes down to taste. There are a couple of people (Jakob and KKK) on this board that share the same love of certain bands as I do, but like them for completely different songs.

Count me in the H2I "for" camp. I love that song... in fact it's one of the few songs I'll actually seek out on my iPod and play. But then again, I have no taste.
