TOPIC: Features touring with Jump Little Children?
Posted  Friday, March 26, 2004 at 11:33 AM
Post 1 of 32
I heard a rumor that The Features are touring with Jump, Little Children. This would make sense considering they're both playing the Belmont show. I think this would be superb! Not only is JLC a pretty good band, but they are a huge draw in the southeast and I can definitely see their fans LOVING the Features.

Can anyone confirm this?

According to this, yes. At least for all the first leg (but not including the Nashville show!).

This could be bad. I have an aversion to Jump Little Children because they have a gay name.

The Features are going to tour exclusively with bands with gay names, so you better worry.

Good news then, JLC has dropped the LC from their name and is now just "Jump." Furthermore, while I love both bands, the pairing, in my opinion, is kinda strange...

I don't like that one bit. That name should be reserved for Van Halen cover bands.

Does "first leg" include that Chicago show? I'm guessing not.

Features, come back to Chi-town!

I like Jump Little Children. They ain't bad. They're fun live, I saw 'em in '02 at Blue Cats the night before a Features concert there that I also went to. I drove alot that summer to go to shows... good times.

I'll agree that the pairing isn't natural.

Jump Little Children is a way better name than Jump. Why did they change it? My band opened for them in Richmond last fall. I wish they were coming back here on this tour, I'd be fine with seeing the Features again... it's been too long.

Well, it's official (you heard it here first, folks). I'm bummed that they're not opening at the Exit/In show, but I guess it makes sense if either band could pack the place by themselves. Now, if we still had 328 Performance Hall...

Did you guys see the updated April shows? Main Street next friday!! YES!!

I've been a fan of jump since 96...a few years before I started seeing the features. I agree it is an odd mixing, but it's good news. Many of the bands who have opened for jump over the years have become fairly well known (it's considered their curse in some ways). I will be taking some time off work to make it to some of these shows....if anyone would like to sample any of their music you can ask me, visit their website at www.jumphq.com or visit www.ezchief.com for more info.

And then to top it off, you get to be crushed under two gigantic, unsteady speakers as they tpolle over. They should rename this place "The Trap." Yep, there is one in Nashville, but the name is more befitting to Wall Street. Yikes.

$5 says Mosis Ptosis topples one of the speakers.
