Let's see who can get the most correct...

I made this excel spreadsheet, you can just download it, fill it out and email it to dww2f@hotmail.com. I'll tabulate the results for who gets the most points at the end of each round and at the end of the tournament announce a winner. If I had the ability to post each person's bracket so everyone could read their predictions, I would, but I don't. I can just as easily put them somewhere on my site if everyone would like a place to retreive others' brackets.

First round predictions through Elite 8 gets one point a piece, Final Four gets three points and the Final matchup gets five points. One bonus point for the correct vote percentages on the final matchup.

Since voting ends Wednesday at 11:59pm cst, Brackets will be accepted until then for the Prediction Bracket Contest.

I totally signed up!!

I hope viewing the brackets and won't influence anyone's vote for their favorite song.

How about even the 2nd round? Since we are voting on these, I think that they will naturally influence the votes.

Anyway, it's a great idea. I'll get mine together soon.

See, I was thinking that people should vote for what they actually WANT to win, and the predictions would be what they think the majority will vote for... My "want" bracket is entirely different from my "prediction" bracket.

But, as this may be the case, we won't view the brackets until the second round. wink.gif

This is all so useless, trivial, and ridiculous.

Which is exactly why I love it. Mucho props to DeathScythe. I'll be filling this out as soon as I get home.

First Round Results:

Deathscythe - 27/32
YaDaDaDa - 23/32
MoreLikeVernie - 26/32
Lauren - 14/16
DigsySlattery - 23/32
Carligula - 28/32

First Round Bracket Analysis:
Carligula took an early lead, though people close to him have brought up the possible use of performance enhancing drugs.

Lauren is the lowest scorer, but this is mostly due to the fact that she forgot to fill out the right side of the bracket, and I didn't notice until today.

Major Upsets:
Carligula lost one of his elite 8.
MoreLikeVernie lost both an elite 8 and final four pick.
Deathscythe lost his winner this round.

Looks like there's plenty of time for those behind to pull ahead...

With a few exceptions, I stuck close to my seedings and it seems to have paid off so far...

Man, I had much higher hopes for LIAB. I'll point out that even though I've lost one of my elite 8, I still have 15 of my sweet 16.

Bring it on, fools.

I have no brains about "Elite 8s" and "Sweet 16s" that don't air on MTV, but I still have 13 of my 16. I thought people liked "Hey Lou" and I thought I was alone in my love for "Jurley." Wrong, I was.

I made the exact same mistake, but Jurley is a great song. My Spongebath Bracket looks terrible. I think Armani Suede will take it now, but Jurley and Your Smile could be close.

I was only 9/16 on the last round, so I have 37 points right now. I doubt I'm still in the lead. Even if I am, my championship loser has fallen...

Shit! This is what happens when non-sports people try to do those tricky bracket things! Can't we just double my score? That'd be a 28...

Looks like the order hasn't changed much. I was proud of my 5/8 last round, but that looks to be the standard.

I still have 3 Final 4 teams in it...

BTW, Digsy forgot to choose a loser of the championship game.

She only filled out the left side of her bracket, so he's just doubling her points from the Spongebath/Universal half of the matchups.

Basically, if she has the most points, she'll be the winner*

yeah, in no way is it meant to be something against lauren. I was just signifying that it's actually unknown what the second half of her scoring would be, so we're giving the benefit of the doubt. smile.gif
