I've seen that NME quote before though, and I don't understand it. Why would Mercury judges take note? The Mercury Music Awards are for British bands... unless there's an American version?

i remember reading that--i think the writer was using the space to moan about the mercury prize selection process, and it really had less to do with the features and more to do with bands like the features not getting the nod from the powers that be. so it is odd that the quote appears in the ad, but, hey, taking things out of context is fun...
