TOPIC: Home page news update and an introduction

Hello all, first off there is an update on the front page. It's about the April 26 show at Exit/In. I know most of you who regularly read/post know about this show already, but there's no harm in hammering home this great chance to see The Features (along with My Tyger and Character of course).

Also, this is my first post here. I'm helping out The Features and Michael with updating this site. I'll also be helping to produce some videos that'll appear on this site in the months come. We are planning some cool stuff so stay tuned to the main page in the months to come for details.

Have a good one,
Brian

Ah... I was wondering what you were talking about. I wish I could take credit for that flash, but I see that our man Michael snuck that on there. Stare at that flash over and over... reload the page and watch it jiggle and dance. Let that date sink in. It'll be a great show.

I'm glad to have an extra administrator to ban people and sensor us and share porn with us.

Brian and I are going to work collaboratively to bring you a better features site. That, of course, requires some feedback from you. If you have any suggestions about what would make this site better - please say so. We are both working on slight re-designs of the site so you get your information more effectively..

It's going to be nice to have someone to work with picking up my extreme amounts of slack and making this site worthy of the band it represents. Glad to have you aboard Brian.

I think there could be more flash fun on this board. I like seeing things bounce around.

Reiterating what I said,

Censorship

Ban people

Porn (I think we've already discussed that we like the midget clown variety)

What would you do if porn was being censored and the act posting it became punishable by banishment?

Midget clown porn eh? I wonder if Michael can make a bouncy flash involving that?

Somehow I doubt the management would approve... oh well.

Who do we banish?

an archive of setlist instead of the setlist just being put up on the message board they should be stored in a database and this database should be viewable from the website

If I had a time for everytime I was asked, 'Are you THE Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys?' I'd have a lot of dimes to count.

Imagine that... THE Brian Wilson sitting around, working on the features website, cussing out of the side of his mouth cause he can't get the Flash to work right...

You should see the kick-ass sandbox I've got setup to do the web work and video editing in. Very comfy. Never have to leave it.

I see it now, I'm going to grow up to be the genius, get fat, get crazy in a sandbox, and so on and you, lawnwrangler, are going to be cool, surf and pick up women. It just ain't fair.

I'm slightly embarrased for admitting (why I don't know, he kicks ass to me) but I do love that Pete Yorn song 'Murry'.

The message board does a nice job of archiving things, but an official place documenting live shows would be good. It would be even better if shows they've played and possible setlists could be traced back a year or two. I have a pretty accurate record of all that I've seen.

More pictures would be good, as well as an official place to supply live and rare mp3s.

I second the idea of having a lyrics archive. Even if Matt won't give us the 'official' lyrics to the songs, we could all put our heads together and try to figure out what he's saying.
grass stains, airplanes, anything and everything

matt won't give out lyrics because MAYBE he's like micheal stipe.....he just makes stuff up so half the time he doesn't really rmemeber what he's saying.....

or just because he's cool like that and wants us to spend many sleepless night wondering what the lyrics to certain songs are......
