Then tune in to 'Across the Pond' every weekday morning, 6am to 8 am on 88.3, the ultimate. We play mod, indie, and retro rock.

THIS IS A SHAMELESS PLUG, SORRY. I'm just trying to build a fanbase.

holy shit it's fucking ray davies!!!!! i knew you would love the features if you just heard them. i love you man. you must have fallen on hard times if you're working at wmts, sorry to hear that. would you please autograph my arthur record? or better yet i'll go go buy sleepwalker or uk jive at great escape since they have like 108 copies of them there and you could sigh one of those. by the way, you guy's rocked in the late seventies and eighties.

just fucking with you , bro. welcome to the message board. you'll keep posting if you know what's good for you.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

Whoa!!! what's with the hostile responses? I just wanted to get the word out about my show. Is that so wrong? I thought that people who liked the features would be interested in my show since i play actual good music( elliott smith, the beach boys, the strokes, the hives, the beatles, the kinks, david bowie, the small faces, the jam, the white stripes etc.), not emo or any other crap. Oh, and by the way, I DO PLAY THE FEATURES!!! TUNE IN TOMMORROW MORNING FOR OUR ALBUM OF THE WEEK: pinkerton by weezer. remember that's 'ACROSS THE POND' 6am-8am M-F on 88.3, the ultimate.

Yes, yes, the radio show does actually sound good. Is 'Across the Pond' a reference to Britain/British music? If so, why are you playing American music? I'm not hazing, I'm just curious. Nashville needs a good British Invasion/Britpop radio show. Not since freezetag's show went off the air in '99 has there been one, to my knowledge.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

'Across the Pond' is a reference to Great Britain, and yes we do play American music, but it's american music that is popular in britain. i know that sounds stupid, but England has better taste in music than America, and the show is just a reflection of that.

I've heard that the Hives are the new Strokes/White Stripes/saviors of rock and roll blah blah blah. I haven't heard them yet. Aren't they Swedish? So young also, but not as cute as the Strokes. I dig the outfits.

I saw a picture of them. They looked pretty cool. I think they are just another retro-nostalgia act. I still want to hear though.

Well, so you've listened to the show i see, and you said we need to play better music. What do you consider good music? Jam Bands? Come on, give me a break. But I do have some respect for you because you actually listened to the show and gave me some kind of response.

dennis wilson is my hero. if you haven't read 'the real beach boy' you should: very enlightning.

despite my love for 'pet sounds' and the very pro box set, i think yer album of the week should be 'friends.' c'mon, 'little bird' blows me away.
long live vocal harmonies and guitarmonies (ala' boston and sloan).

YOU indie-rockers with your ELITISM! So are you coming down on me because I cut my hair like David Schwimmer, tape the show weekly, and just got out of re-hab like Matthew Perry????

atteniton everyone:

our album of the week tommorrow will be either ...

the ramones first album OR the kinks are the village green preservation society OR something else by the kinks

we dont know which one yet.

village green kicks the pants off of something else. but i listened to that cd today, so i don't really need to get up at 6 am to hear it on the radio tomorrow. how long have you been a dj at wmts? i was music director waaaay back in the day (well, more than 4 yrs ago) back when the station played more than mostly rap/hip hop/techno

i started this semester. our goal when we started this show was to bring back some good music to the station. to me, our show represents what i think of when people say college radio: intellegent indie rock and obscure album tracks from popular artists.

right on dude, make sure that you run for music director in the next 'election' -- it's a pain in the butt sometimes, but it's worth it.
