Just got this email and I'm wary of clicking the link in case it's not real and I get a virus:

hey, that email is indeed legit. i happen to work at echo but i'm not on the street team side of things.

the featuresFIST list, and several other web-based things, are moving over to echo so the first time a message goes out we have to ask that "opt-in" question. if you actually do click on that link, it lets us know you agree to receive email from the features AND it lets you see the actual email. the subject of the email is in reference to the message you read once you click the link to confirm. i can see how it might be confusing though.

since we send out tons of emails for artists we have to follow all these annoying internet rules and protocol to make sure we're not labeled spammers. also, since we're slowly doing things of the features in phases we don't always have the chance to brand everything with "thefeatures.com" domain or the usual graphics.

hope that clears up any confusion.

Hey all its legit when you click it, it gives you all the details! So i rang up and am off to spread the word in birmingham on the 23rd anyone else going?
