when i came out of the fountains of wayne show at exit in last night, a features flyer for the 12th and porter show was on my car. if they're already flyer-ing the show, we can commence discussion. opening band: character!

Fountains of Wayne played here?!? I wish I'd known. I heard a segment on NPR about them and wanted to check them out. There stuff sounded really funny and pretty good.

It would be nice if I could go to this show...seeings how I want to see The Features so much. And, the next day is the day I quit my job, so it would be a very nice present to myself...but, I know I wouldn't be able to get in.

Today is a glorious day! My sister called and said that she was on the way to get her new ID from the DMV. Since she "lost" her old one, it looks like I am now 25 and live in Georgia. I will definately be at the show

nope. but then again, i didn't make my way around the crowd (plus i missed ben lee's set)... i just stood in the same spot all night (i'm not one for mingling).

The last time I was at 12th and P they didn't even look at my I.D. and i was under aged. Just maybe you can give it a shot.. oruse a friend I.d perhaps?

I could give it a try, but I don't want to take the pain of being turned away at the door. I can't think of anybody I could get an ID off of that looks anything like me. Oh, well...guess I'll just have to wait until they schedule a local show that's not 21+...if that ever happens.

Looks like Melinda and I are going to make the trip to Nashville for this show... Since the Features have come up to Lexington so often, the least we can do is return the favor. We expect to reach Nashville around 9:00 p.m. Friday.

We'll be staying in some cheap motel off the interstate, and plan to spend the early part of Saturday trawling Nashville looking for adventure. Any suggestions? Good brunch places?

The last time we drove to Tennessee was for a Knoxville show almost exactly a year ago. Only after we had paid for a hotel room did we find out that los Features were not actually playing that gig. We drove down anyway to see what there is to see in Knoxville (still wondering...) Anyway, we walked by the club where the Features were supposed to be playing and saw that the headliner was, in fact, a hippie jam band from--of all places--Lexington. Sweet, sweet irony.

If the date for this show gets changed, will somebody please let me know?

If I had to guess, I'd say that Character will start at about 10:00 and the Features will start at about 11:00. But if it's different than that, it could only be later.

Another reason I'm excited about this show: we're rehearsing the new dance routines!

what?! new routines?! man, i can't miss that! all the more reason for me to think of more ways to get into this show. so far i'm gonna go with getting there around 9pm and praying that they'll happen not to check my id. but i'm sure they will. oh well, the worst that can happen is them say "too young!" and me go home. i suppose if i had any shame then i would be embarrassed, but i don't have to worry about that. it's worth a shot.
