There has never been an official yes really, and there's so much red tape that it isn't really easy to say.

Your best bet--when you can go in a record store and buy a Features CD with "Universal" on it, that's when we'll all know for sure. Until then, I think we're going to have doubt.

Right now, excitement has helped the rumor push itself into "fact" status, perhaps prematurely.

The Features can be found on www.universalrecords.com listed under concert listings ("where it's at") and under the list of bands (not alphabetically, but under the "rock" genre).

True, but I stand by this answer.

They wouldn't.

The music industry is so weird that anything can happen. Consider Spongebath Records. They listed a lot of bands as "their bands" that never released anything with them. Of course, Universal is more professional than Spongebath ever was... but it's still a weird industry. I'm going to side with YaDaDaDa and take a "wait and see" approach.

I'm sorry, but I think this is all pretty silly. I wouldn't say this if it hadn't been reported in several publications and of course the UNIVERSAL RECORDS WEBSITE, but yes they have a record deal. Does that mean the record will ever come out? No, but I think once you have signed on the dotted line it is official. Maybe the band isn't making a big deal out of it here, not wanting to jinx themselves if something bad does happen, but then again, what has the band come on here to make a big deal out of? I could understand why The Features and management would want those of us who had a little inside information to keep our mouths shut when negotiations were going on, but I really don't think anyone is trying to hide anything anymore.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.
