Note:
Upon consultation with Rays Davies, it was brought to my attention that Walking On The Moon might be Walk You Home. I could have sworn that they had said "Walking On The Moon," but maybe I misheard them. Either way, I'm not familiar with either of those song titles. Unless you're referring to Walking On The Moon by The Police.
Highlights of the night:
- The harmonics solo during Circus
- Hearing "Million Ways to Sing The Blues" for the first time
- The bewildered look on people's faces when I announced that I was only there to see the Features and was leaving shortly after they were finished
- Getting to talk to Rollum for a few minutes
- Buying a Buffalo Head t-shirt to espouse my fandom for all to see at work on casual friday
- God Save Rock And Roll, indeed living up to the name
- Thursday as an excellent closer
The only downer I could think of was that I was so self-conscious about people staring at me while I sang along that I had to stand in the back. :-/ That's my own fault, however.
Overall, the show was excellent, as is the norm for a Features show. The crowd seemed, although unfamiliar, very receptive and lively. The band seemed very energetic and very on during the entire set. I was sad to see only nine songs played, but they had to end their set at some point. I would have liked to have heard Excorcising Demons, Dark Room or Blow It Out., but I'm just very glad that I could make this show.
I also got a few
pictures here. I'm not a photographer, so please don't laugh. Just thought I'd share what I got.
