Great show as usual by the boys!

Two new songs I'd never heard before (Arcadia and Hold Myself Alone... I think), a string of classics (Darkroom and karie-Ann to name but two) and all the album goodness too!

Very much enjoyed it, as did my girlfriend and my sister.

Alas, apparently the album here has been delayed heavily by evil record label bastards.

Bastards!

Spoke to Rollum and Matt though, who were lovely.

But Andy love, you seem to be reviewing a gig that isn't until the end of September tongue.gif

The Features really were truly magnificent... Matt seemed to be giving it more oomph, and sticking his tongue in his cheek and rolling his eyes around more than he used to. He had great burgundy old-man pants on too (with the obligatory tank top/shirt combo). I got chatting to Rollum and Matt who said the album has been put back until March in Britain sad.gif

Rollum also has this new thing (during Thursday) where when he's waiting for his turn on the drums, he feigns yawning and puts his feet up on the bass drum!! biggrin.gif

Roger's bass was turned up to the max this time, and I have to admit, it's the first time I really heard how wonderful his playing is! He's a complete disco fiend!! And Parish is turning more and more into Mike Love everyday...

Circus
Walk you home
Exhibit A
Blow it out
Me and the skirt
The way it's meant to be
Arcadia
Exorcising demons
Kari-Ann
There's a million ways to sing the blues
Dark Room
The Beginning
Leave it all behind
Mosis Tosis (without a 'P'!)
"New" (as Andy says they played 'Hold myself alone' but we were sure there was another new song too)
Thursday.

Rollum let me down - he promised me 33 1/3!

We've seen it before. My favorite to this day is when he pulled out the GameBoy and started playing it during the 1st verse. Glad you enjoyed the show!

Well YOU get to see him all the time!!! It's only my third time, and it's the first time he's done that. I hope he files his nails next time...

uh-oh...here we go again...

the gameboy move was my favorite, too, of all rollum's breaktime theatrics.

yeah, but it's just past experiences that make me suspicious...and it doesn't make any sense as far as timing to release it in march in the uk. is that just to give everybody time to forget the features existed once they've just about scraped the public consciousness? just delayed enough to waste the momentum of the first couple of singles? i hope somebody knows what they're doing behing this, because it just sounds bad to me.

Well, from what I can gather they're having problems with British distribution or something... if this doesn't bode well, surely there wouldn't be all the promotion you're getting over there? There's no promotion over here at all at the moment (christ, I didn't even know about last nights gig until last week!)

I haven't seen Universal put any ads in magazines or anything. I haven't seen the vidoes on TV other than the night they hosted Subterranean. I would be happy to send you the U.S. record, Sharon. You deserve it.
That's so NA.

Oh right, maybe the promotion is more local then? Let's not get pessimistic - they've been over to Britain, what, 4/5 times this year?? That's a good sign, I'm sure! I WILL get the album. Eventually.

And I'm sorry about the dropped P Carl. I thought of you when I saw that. sad.gif

They were obviously asserting their American-ness and dropping random letters out of words, rather than spelling them properly, like us Brits do.
