TOPIC: New Year's Eve with JMB

In regards to the recent announcement of The Features playing with Joe, Marc's Brother on New Year's Eve, may I just say, Holy Shit!!! Possibly the best two bands ever sharing the stage on New Year's Eve. Hells yeah.

I know some features fans don't seem to like JMB, and you are all entitled to your opinions, even if they are totally stupid and wrong.

I as well, am very excited about this features, jmb happening. Although I must say, 12th and Snorter is not one of my favorite places to see the features. The environment is stale and the over-30 crowd that frequents the place is already starting to gather dust. Also, the sound man, though not completely inept, does not understand that rock bands are not supposed to be heard at reasonable or even bearable volume levels. Clean out those goddamned tables, stand up and at least act like you are having fun for christ's sake.
Baby Jane's in Acapulco, we're all flying down to Riooooooooooooo

taken from the front page:
'We are ecstatic to announce we will be playing in Nashville on New Year's Eve.'

Now why would the Features be *ecstatic* that they're playing in Nashville? Don't they do that all the time? I'm begining to think band input on this site is very very limited.
phases and stages, circles and cycles, scenes that we've all seen before, let me tell you some more

Oh Keith,

Yes, I am very excited about this New Year's Eve situation.  I have a feeling that if I really delve into the JMB, I will like it.  Too many people with taste too similar to mine probably will not be wrong.  What happens at a JMB NYE show?  Will they let me bring in a box of wine?
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

dear god i miss the box! weren't there many joints passed out last year by nashville's favorite aging poet/writer/rocker?
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

I doubt they will let you bring in a box of wine, but yes, joints were passed out at last year's JMB NYE festivities by Nashville's favorite poet/philosopher/21st century redneck/etc. and I have heard plans are in the works for a repeat performance. I agree with Neuboy, and we must demand loudness for The Features.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my first post here (above). Sorry, this is all irrelevant, but I guess any excuse to bring back a topic with Eno2 is a good one.
