***#1***(tie) 'Don't Lie to Me' & 'Harold' I think these songs were 'born' at about the same time. Where are they now? These are both incredible and I think it's a travesty that they aren't played at least sometimes.

Other assorted songs that I would love to hear once in a while:
Roger's Theme
Anti-Gravity Class of '93
Your Smile
Treehouse Club
Discotheque

I know there are others I can't think of.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

oh yeah, i do miss discotheque. i'll also agree w/ jamie c. about harold and don't lie to me. maybe they felt those weren't 'features' enough, which is a shame. i'd also like to get a grapevine everyonce in a while.

My list would have to include 'Jurley' and 'Roger's Theme.' I would also include 'Captain Williams' and 'Stormy Weather,' but from the reports I've seen, both of these songs have resurfaced in the past month.

I've always enjoyed the way the band lets their songs evolve in public. They'll play songs very early in their development, and you can hear the lyrics and music changing from show to show.

Very good point, Tom Foolery, about the band letting their songs 'grow up' in public (just like Kennedys or Royal Family princes). I appreciate this as well. It's fun to listen back to older versions of songs and see how much they've changed.

Some other bands that I know guard works-in-progress like they're the winner of Survivor.

I only saw them once in the pre-Rollum days, back at Dancin' in the District in '96 or '97. All I remember was choreographed dancing and lots of Moog. I say bring back the dancing!
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

I (sadly) never saw the Features in pre-Rollum days. 1998 was the first time. I have heard about the bunny suits and the choreographed dancing. I would love to see some dancing or bunny suits, but to speak in a cliche, I think they're older now and those kinds of things are not 'them' anymore. But I may be wrong...

What I want to know is, did anyone see the Features in the Jim O'Shea era? Stories welcomed.

I'd love to hear 'Roger's Theme'. It's an absolutely great song.

I saw them once pre-Rollum, and then got into them huge soon after Rollum started with him (possibly his first show).

My favorite missing live tunes are Jurley, Your Smile, Hey Lou, Stay Together or Stormy Weather or whatever it's called, and Button My Shirt.

I'd like to see more Heard It Through the Grapevine or Hungry Like the Wolf. I've never heard of them doing D-Con (Radio One), but I'd love that.

The progression of Features songs is interesting. In my stuff, I have version of Oh My Love and Kari-Ann with completely different lyrics. Pieces of other stuff will pop up from time to time, too. Others, like Exorcising Demons and Dark Room have just picked up grace and power if you compare them now with earlier versions.

I know nothing on the story of Jim O'Shea, but I think when the light hits his face just right, he could pass as Matt Pelham's brother.

I have often thought the very same thing.

Probably because it correctly identifies Roger as the 'funkiest brother you've ever seen'. Don't Lie is sorely missed, and I would die happy if I heard Anti-Gravity live

I'm just an idiot, but I *think* that 'Stormy Weather' is actually 'Stick Together'. The chorus goes, 'I'm thinking we should stick together' I don't know if this is an old song or not, but I know they have played it as recently as January in Knoxville.

I, too, thought the song was called 'Stick Together.' Then at one of the shows (very shortly after they stopped playing it), the band was huddling on stage to discuss which song they should play. I yelled, 'Stick Together!' Rollum then said to Matt, 'Stormy Weather! We've got a request from the audience.' (Unfortunately, Rollum and I were overruled, and another song was played.) From that brief episode, I've concluded it was called 'Stormy Weather.' But, then again, I'm an idiot, too. Knowing the Features, the name of the song might actually be 'Willie and the Willigers.'

I will concede that an introduction by the band trumps a brief exchange that I overheard during a show serveral months ago. I shall henceforth refer to the song as 'Stick Together.'
