I'm sorry Will, that's a pip. I'm hoping to be there if I can find company to go with. I hate driving to nashville to a show by myself. Its terribly depressing.

Jamie Carroll will be there. He will have just graduated from college (along with mysterious Lauren). They wouldn't mind having "Harold" played in honor of this achievement.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

In fact, they DEMAND it. "Don't Lie to Me" will also be accepted.

I will be coming straight from my first office Christmas party, what a great excuse to leave early. The 'open' bar is operating on a token system, so as soon as my free meal is over and the free drinks are drank, I will be on my way. depending how many drinks I'm allowed to have, it may be via taxi.

I will be dressed up extra special, no time to change.

"Harold" and "Don't Lie to Me" would both be great for this occasion. Wiyum begs that if these, or other classics, are brought back, they stick around for the few December shows that he *will* be around for.

I don't know if I'll be there. I'm graduating that night as well, and then I go straight from graduation to playing a show of my own. I'm pretty sure we'll be done in plenty of time to catch The Features, but I don't know if I'll be up for wading through the crowd and getting my face rocked off after all of that. That, plus the whole family being in town. But we'll see. I've made it to Features shows under worse circumstances.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Aw, c'mon- it'll be the ultimate graduation celebration! I'm trying to persuade my mom to go, so you could work on your family too. Plus, deevol & jc & myself & multitudes of my friends will be all dressed up. I'll buy you a Red Bull if you show up, to get you through the night

I'll be there, Keith, what more could you ask for?

I'm still in utter shock of the fact that not only will De novo Dahl be there, but I'll also get to see Forget Cassettes again. Oh, it's gonna be SWEET!

I won't be there. Luckily the next time they play 12th and Porter though, I will be old enough to get in!

I did get into 12th and Porter with a guardian about a month ago, but I don't know if it will work for a features show. dry.gif

wow. if this did work, we could implement an adopt-a-board-member plan where all the 21+ members could adopt a under 21 member. ofcourse there's that pesky last kid picked for the kickball team complex i'm cursed with, but i would be willing to put that aside for the features. rolleyes.gif

Is anyone gonna tape the show? A new features live performance caught in action would be a swell christmas present for us out-of-town underage kids.

You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

im so with you on that one. im also up for the adopt a board member program. dont they not always card at 12th and Porter? if thats the case then i'll whip out the trusty ol platforms and eyeliner. surely theres a way. theres GOT to be a way.

I THINK I HAVE A PLAN:

a month or so ago my friends dad was playing there (actually it might have been 3rd and Lindsley but same difference) and me and me friend just were like "we're on the list" and he checked his little list and we got in. i felt really cool. anyways.. what if: someone causes a distraction. while the guy is checkin it out, someone else steals his little paper thing, jots down "Rollum- +2" or something, and then i stroll up and im all "oh um we should be under rollum" and he'll let us in. its genius. pure genius.

okay i today me and my friend were thinking of ways to get in. some include: coming in a wheel chair and saying i have a week to live and my one wish is to see my fave band, crying, bribing, those glasses/nose/mustache things, telling him that im matts niece, just running in, going through the ventilation, fake ids, dressing as a cook (hey, it worked in the mentos commercial), going for lunch then just sit in the bathroom for 8 hours, hold up my id and then punch the "bouncer", etc. the list goes on. my guy friends told me to tell the bouncer id "jock his d" but im not that desperate.

Well when I got into 12th and Porter, I had a few plans in case one didn't work. There was an almost 40 year old woman with us, and she agreed that she'd be my step mother if there were any problems. We got put on the guest list for the show, but the manager of 12th and porter still insisted on checking our IDs. When she was about to make my friend and me leave, I told her that woman with us was my mother, so she just made her agree to make sure we didn't drink. It worked.

I don't know if this would work, but maybe someone over 21 could pretend a 19 yr old is their step brother/sister who lives with them and they could claim they are their guardian or something? That might be stretching it... but it never hurts to try. It would look suspicious though if everyone walking through the door had a step brother or sister that was underage. blink.gif

I just read that the show tonight will "start" at 10pm. In rock'n'roll time, I assume it will start at 11pm. On the other hand, I suppose that 12th and Porter might actually be making an effort to report an accurate start time. Either way, with three (outstanding) bands, it's gonna be a late night...

I don't think anyone under 21 will be able to get in. The club is really strict now because they were busted for underage folks drinking.

You can get in if you are really with a parent, but you will have to be approved by the manager, X'd and trotted up to the bar so the manager can tell the bartender (in front of everyone) that you are not 21 and not to serve you. Blech!

They also put guards at the back door to keep people from sneaking in that way and will snatch you right up if you are seen.

I wish I had better news!
