The Features are playing the Dentyne Vanilla Chill/VH1 Save the Music Event March 28 in NYC at Irving Plaza with The Walkmen and Ben Kweller. Tickets will be $5 and go on-sale 2/26/05. It is a benefit concert for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation that places musical instruments in schools. This year, the Foundation has pledged to restore the music programs of 150 public schools in thirty cities nationwide.

Doors are at 7:00 and The Features go on at 8:00.

As ya'll know, I don't post anymore unless I really feel compelled....

But this is too much. I screamed like a 9 year old girl when I heard about this show. I have never gloated about anything on this board, and I never will again...but holy shit, I am going to see the Walkmen and the Features on the same stage!!!!!!!!!!

I can only hope and pray that I'll get to meet the band, and that I won't act like a complete starstruck fan boy. I'd really, really like to get drunk with Hamilton.

I just noticed that this show is sold out.

I also noticed that they'll be playing the same venue where the Backstreet Boys are playing a two night stand earlier that week! Tickets for that show are only $60! I knew I should have taken the week off!

I saw a commercial advertising the Save The Music concert on VH1 this morning. They're airing it, but only the six biggest names were mentioned in the commercial.

As far as I know, there's only three bands on the bill, but the show kicks off a 20-city tour of various bands, so that's probably where they got the other bands. That would be great if their set made it on air!

Instead of beating him up, maybe they should ask him to teach them about melody.

Carl, I just now read this for the first time, and I deem it the best post I have seen here in quite some time. So true!
