I too need God SaveRNR. As well as Buffalo Head and the other new songs since I cannot identify what they sound like. I desperately need them....my life or sanity or something equally important depends on it.

You're welcome. The May 2nd show is available via B&P from Blightman, but I'll add more if I get time. Here's to Jeff Lynne & ELO.

I just added it.

This little live jewel comes from 1-29-00, days before they entered the studio with Matt Mahaffey. You'll notice during the chorus that there is only one person clapping, and that's Matt Pelham. This was about the 2nd performance of this song. Please note the drum fill that Rollum uses to enter the 2nd chorus. It's perfectly executed and sounds soooo good. I'm no drummer or anything, but I always think that little part sounds great.

I have tons of Bowl of Fire material I'd be more than happy to share. Thing is, I don't have a CD burner and a B&P exchange wouldn't really work out. If you want some stuff, e-mail me at amichae4@utk.edu and I'll see what I can do. You might try searching kazaa or winmx, but I doubt you'll find much.

Whoever posted that 1975 version of See You Through is fucking brilliant. It reminds me of an LP I have called "Everything You Always Wanted to Hear on the Moog*
* but were afraid to ask for". I'm so impressed by the amount of talent on this little message board.

I agree, Lauren, very cool.

Actually, do you know what it sounds like? Last year or so, Self put out a compilation called 'Self Goes Shopping'. It was a bunch of little instrumental "muzak" versions of Self songs that sounded alot like that version of 'See You Thru'. Really, the more I think about it, this was probably done by Matt Mahaffey or Mac Burrus. If not one of them, then definitely Rollum.

Okay, I saw the show being recorded last nite and I think that someone has to put at least "Me & The Skirts" up as soon as possible. The rest can wait/be b & p'ed from Blightman but "Me & The Skirts" has to be released to the general message board public.

Last night's version of "Me and the Skirts" might be acceptable for a while, but it shouldn't be the definitive live version. Matt's vocals sounded terrible last night.

I just need some version of it so I can begin learning the words. Are the vocals louder towards the back? Last nite, if I didn't know the words to the songs I would have been lost. I also would like to one day have a version of "Me & The Skirts" that features (oh the pun) Parrish, Rollum and Roger on backing vocals like at Blue Sky Court. Darn lack of mics.

Maybe it was just my location, but I could hear the vocals very well last night (even Roger's!!!!!). I was about ten feet back from the stage, right in front of the speaker stack next to Parrish.

You guys need to stay further away from Matt, especially at the Boro. It's quite likely you'll get whacked in the head by his guitar. That guy gets crazy sometimes.

The lead singer for Imaginary Baseball League came very very close to me with his guitar. I did fear for Ray Davies life though; I just envisioned his head hitting the Matt's mic stand, causing a chain reaction where Matt gets hit, falls into Rollum's drums etc etc. Luckily Matt moved the mic over a tad and also Matt usually jumps backwards...so there's safety.

And come on, when Matt fell to the ground during Circus...that was rock and roll right there and I would have missed it if I had been far away.
